🌿 Advancing Sustainability in the Creative Europe Programme 🌍
Embracing the essence of the European Green Deal, the European Commission proudly presents its latest publication, a study that outlines the pathway to greener horizons within the Creative Europe programme. 📚🌱
👉 https://lnkd.in/eXyxVpMt
Aligned with the Commission's resolute commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly measures, this study sets out the strategies to infuse environmental responsibility into the heart of our cultural and creative efforts. 🎨🌎
The study's highlights include:
1️⃣ Elaborating comprehensive guidelines for applicants and beneficiaries.
2️⃣ Crafting recommendations for monitoring and evaluating the green dimensions of project proposals.
3️⃣ Gathering best practices that fuel the green evolution across cultural and creative sectors.
4️⃣ Documenting inspiring outcomes from projects in the previous Creative Europe programme (2014-2020) that championed sustainability.
The European Green Deal envisions a climate-neutral EU by 2050, fostering green technologies, sustainable industries, and a pollution-free environment. In this transformative journey, the cultural and creative sectors are integral partners. 🌿🤝
Let's walk this green path together, ensuring our creativity and heritage flourish in harmony with our planet's wellbeing. 🌍🎭

📢 Powerful quote alert 📢
"Communicating fear without giving people agency is not effective communication."
This resonates deeply with me, especially in the context of engineering.
Entrepreneurial education can bridge the gap by fostering 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 (understanding of the challenges) and 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 (the ability to take action).
Today's complex, uncertain and plural challenges demand more than simple solutions. They demand science, research and experience in the process of finding solutions toward a sustainable, better future. Once we understand this process (the 'how'), it should be about applying it and iterating for continuous learning and improvement.
Step by step, with a touch of ingenuity, I think we can build a better path forward.
Last week at the international conference - Environmental communication in the growing environmental crisis: practical experiences and new perspectives, organized by the Institute of Communication Studies (in partnership with the Universities of the region) I moderate the session: New Perspectives and the Need for Transformative Communication. There, among other we talked about the role of environmental communication in building more resilient urban communities through the example and ethos of the UPSURGE project. Communicating the needs of the local communities and the stakeholders is imperative in establishing better, greener and more resilient urban future.
