🔍 The challenge our client faced
Our client was struggling with their three-month training programme required for good manufacturing practice (GMP) compliance due to high staff turnover and a shortage of trained resources. This resulted in difficulties training new, on-site, and temporary employees within the required timeframe, negatively impacting performance and quality.
💡 Our solution to their problem
Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions® leveraged our extensive network to optimize managed scientific services at client sites. We made quality and technical training the foundation of our approach. Our dedicated organizational development team provided comprehensive training to PSS employees before they started working at client sites. We offer a wide range of technical, core, and leadership modules, and our employees can become certified trainers in client quality systems. This enhances efficiency and training delivery. Additionally, we cross-train PSS teams to ensure flexibility and continuity of services in response to fluctuating technical service needs.
After analyzing the client’s existing training plan, PSS developed and implemented a completely new training strategy. This new plan focused on immediate, client-specific training that complied with their quality systems.
📈 The results
By certifying Eurofins PSS staff as trainers in the client’s quality systems, we significantly accelerated the training process. We tailored technically relevant modules to the client’s specific training requirements, enabling PSS employees to quickly deliver high-quality services.
As a result of our strategic training process, the average training time was reduced from 87 days to 37 days. All PSS analysts were recruited within an average of 30 days and trained to perform testing in the client’s lab within six weeks. This saved approximately 351 hours per person and allowed us to deliver high-quality services at high speed, far exceeding the client’s expectations.
