To test this idea, we turned our office into a dirty soda bar, getting in on the trend of mixing Dr. Pepper and Coffee Mate sweet creamer. What a terrific IFT First Annual Event and Expo! The future of food was on full display in the halls of McCormick Place. Here are our key takeaways:  - A great way to show off your food science chops is with samples. There were plenty to try this year—from plant-based meats to protein-packed snacks and caffeine-enhanced drinks. Some of our favorites included the cinnamon rolls from Bunge and the cheddar cheese puffs from Ardent Mills.  - Some of the best booths put their product solutions front and center. Food really is a solutions business preparing to meet the needs of tomorrow’s consumers.  - The education sessions and programming here are one-of-a-kind and provide the perfect inspiration to innovate!
