Did #PageSpeed finally start to impact #SEO / ranking significantly? i.e. green sites beating sites that are failing #CoreWebVitals? That's what Chris Long found (and still not sure why LinkedIn failed to show me this in my timeline right away 😥). He states: - This seems doubly true in the eCommerce space - Sites that have put time into improving performance seem to be getting rewarded. Do note this is about real #UX, and not your #Lighthouse score. The two are still sometimes being mixed up. Obviously, addressing web #performance would already improve UX + conversion. But now SEO as well?

I too have noticed this. Particularly smaller ecommerce business sites competing with larger national companies.

Erwin, from what I've observed, page speed / loading times have impacted SEO for years. Improving web performance is 100% a positive SEO signal! Different topic because that was the impact of speed on revenues, but who remembers the Amazon study?

They have been saying it is a ranking factor for over 10 years. From a 2010 blog post: "Like us, our users place a lot of value in speed—that's why we've decided to take site speed into account in our search rankings. "

Still far too many web developers in denial about this.

not sure if cwv but i hada site with bad scores in gtmetrics and google page speed, lot to do with hosting and after changing host to stronger scores went up dramatically and so did the rankings for a keyword it has dropped during the march 15th algo. It could be a coincidence since it approved around the time the algo has finished, but i belive speed scores helped a lot
