Today, we hosted our annual Public Sector Ignite conference for our amazing customers and partners. It was a great day, and we were thrilled to see everyone in the audience throughout the day. This was my second Public Sector Ignite, and I must say, they keep getting better and better. I'd like to offer a special thank you to our amazing customers, especially Dr. Fletcher, for her keynote speech where she outlined her priorities for securing the global enterprise at the Department of State. Also, a huge thank you to NYT Best Selling Cybersecurity Author & CISA Advisor, Nicole Perlroth, for her closing keynote as she explored the evolving threats to public sector cybersecurity. Today’s event was about understanding the challenges facing us and the art of the possible. Artificial Intelligence, Zero Trust, Quantum Computing, and Platformization were but a few of the components discussed today. Our goal at Palo Alto Networks is to meet you where you are on your organization's cybersecurity journey and help you realize the art of the possible. This is our most critical task and one that at Palo Alto Networks we take seriously. It was a great day, thanks to all who participated. I'm honored to have been selected by Washington Executive as one of the "Top Public Sector Leaders to Watch in 2024." Over the past two weeks I've been able to meet with the majority of our US Public Sector leadership team and I can promise you, this recognition is not about me, it's about them. It's about our partners. These leaders and our sales teams are in front of partners and customers every day. They spend countless hours away from their homes and their families helping customers across the world. There is no way to properly thank them for their efforts, but know that they are the heart of US Public Sector, they are the ones to watch. They are the people changing the world. Friends, A few weeks ago I reached out on LinkedIn to share Patty's story as requested by a number of people. https://lnkd.in/gKufPwE5 Yesterday Patty completed the NYC Marathon for the second time. Additionally, she was the #1 fundraiser for St. Jude's at the NYC Marathon this weekend raising somewhere around $40,000 once all of the matches and Facebook contributions come in. Finally, she kicked cancer in the ass showing that she is back. I cannot thank everyone enough, you supported kids in need and spoke on behalf of a community. Your thoughts, prayers, and contributions made a difference. You are generous and loving. You are appreciated. I'm so proud of Patty and this community. Sorry for the poor quality image, in the excitement of things I did not capture my normal level of photograph as Patty nears the finish line. ; )

Friends, it is not traditional for me to share anything personal on LinkedIn but many of you know my wife and some asked me to share an update on her fundraising for St. Jude. Two years ago my wife, Patty Trexler decided to return to her hometown (Bronx, NY) and run the 50th NYC Marathon for St Jude Children's Research Hospital. Patty has been a St. Jude hero since 2012 and amount the top fundraisers to support the St. Jude children fighting cancer and families. A month after the race in 2021, Patty was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to focus on her own health but two years later, Patty is back and running for the kids of St Jude's again on November 5th. She's determined to raise even more money for this amazing amazing charity. St. Jude families never receive a bill, which allows them to truly focus on their children's health. I'm am so proud of my wife for all she's done, but most importantly her drive and perseverance to get back out on the roads and train for this an incredible cause. So far this year Patty raised over $11,000 for children and families of St. Jude and her goal is $30,000. This was her message last evening to her sponsors. "I appreciate all of your messages and words of encouragement over the past month; it keeps me going! I have 42 days to go and a 17 mile long run at 5:30am tomorrow morning. Thank you to each and every one of you for supporting this wonderful cause; it allows the families to focus on what is most important, their children's health.
