Last week, the EQT Chair & Senior Advisor Meeting took place in Stockholm, a key annual event held in each of EQT's regions of operations (Stockholm, NY, Hong Kong), where the EQT Network team hosted EMEA portfolio company chairs and Senior Advisors under this year's theme "Enhancing Value Creation & Governance Through Effective EQT Boards." The meeting featured discussions on AI & Motherbrain, DEI, CEO-to-Chair experiences, and included a talk with EQT Senior Advisor and former Cop26 president Sir Alok Sharma on Sustainability & Impact. We also announced the launch of the EQT Board Academy, designed to help EQT-appointed Board Members excel in their roles. Attendees also spent time reconnecting and networking during the event, and even had the chance to enjoy test driving Candela boats from the EQT Ventures portfolio. The EQT Foundation was established by senior leaders at EQT Group to safeguard the values and give back to society building on EQT’s expertise. They formed the EQT Foundation Membership that governs the activities of the foundation and act as role models within the organization. Every year, the EQT Foundation Membership elects new members among senior leaders at EQT to join the group. Senior leaders at EQT who have shown a long-term commitment to EQT and the EQT Values are eligible candidates. A big welcome to Eric Liu, Alex Darden, Masoud Homayoun, Jean Salata who were elected to the Membership in 2023.
