Why are detailed Spec Sheet and Block Patterns necessary for Fashion Brands? I was working with a Fast Fashion Brand, that is considered to have the largest no. of design launch each season. You may have guessed the Brand…. When I started working on the style I found that their provided specs and Patterns were not feasible. As you can see in the comparison image, The unusual hiking at the front and a lot of draglines. When I highlighted the issue, the designers were shocked because they already had the production in their stores, and it was the second round when they reached us. Fortunately, we amended the pattern and suggested the new specs for perfect fitting. You can see the other image of the garment which we improved. In this episode we discuss Multimodal Garment Designer: Human-Centric Latent Diffusion Models for Fashion Image Editing by Alberto Baldrati, Davide Morelli, Giuseppe Cartella, Marcella Cornia, Marco Bertini, Rita Cucchiara. This paper introduces a framework for generating fashion images using multimodal prompts such as text, body poses, and garment sketches. The proposed architecture utilizes latent diffusion models, a novel approach in the fashion domain. The effectiveness of the framework is demonstrated through experiments using extended fashion datasets, showing realistic and coherent results.
