Bay Head Barnacle. Just trying to figure it all out by searching for a cosmic connection between nature, my pictures of the sunrise in particular, and the stock market for that day. Hope you enjoy.
Records may be recorded at the finish line, but they are made over the course of the race - murph If you want to run a PB (personal best) in a marathon, you have to set the pace at mile one and then maintain that pace over the course of the race. You cannot decide after mile 20 that you are now going to pick up the pace, it is already too late. Of course some miles are going to be slower than others, but with discipline, you can even out the average over the course of the race. The market has run a stellar race so far this year and is rounding Columbus Circle with a personal best there for the taking. The journey to get here was not easy and required crossing many Walls of Worry (Verrazzano-Narrows bridge, Pulaski Bridge, Queensboro Bridge) in the form of blistering high inflation, interest rate cramps, Geopolitical unrest, wars on a few continents to name a few. But the market showed the grit, determination, and discipline required to be in control of its own destiny. Futures are basically flat this morning as is Central Park South. All the market has to do now is dig deep as it comes off Central Park South and heads up that final hill to the finish line at Tavern on the Green. Regardless of the final outcome, everyone has been a winner this year, so a huge shout out to the market for a race well run. Make it a great day. What is the best 16th hole in the world? As we near the end of our 18 hole round there are some great finishing holes that could go either way. Yesterday in our 15th hole challenge there were 4 amazing choices yet at the end of the day one clearly stood out amongst you. What was the course? Cypress Point with 54% of the vote. A great choice and one of my favourites. The ocean holes at Cypress are dramatic and today we are going to see if Cypress can go back to back with it also being featured amongst some tough competition. And I mean tough both in terms of visual beauty but also challenge. These are arguably 4 of the toughest holes we have featured. To the images: 1. Cypress Point - Monterey, CA. One of the hardest par 3’s going around 2. North Berwick - Scotland. Arguably the greatest green complex in the world 3. Royal Portrush - Northern Ireland. Another incredibly tough par 3 - Calamity Corner 4. Merion - PA, USA - another tough par 4 where par is great Who are you voting for? Promises to be a close race. Let me know in the comments what you think and be sure to vote on my story also so we can crown a winner. #Top18Golf #GolfTravelHasReturned #GreatGolfCourses

It’s common as we age to start to limit what we think is possible. We start creating a narrative around limiting beliefs and excuses of why “I can’t do it”. Randy is 73 years old and ran the Brookfield classic 50k. He completed the race in 7 hours and 13 minutes. Since 2013 (age 63) he has completed 119 races. The next time you find yourself putting limits on what you think is possible, think of Randy and go get it done. https://lnkd.in/eY-Hysxu

The world’s longest non-stop river race is underway in #Missouri on the Missouri River. It started in Kansas City on Tuesday and ends in St. Charles on Friday. More than 700 participants are given 88 hours to finish the 340-mile race. Happy paddling, racers! 🛶 The #MR340, sponsored by Missouri American Water benefits Missouri River Relief. • The Missouri River is the longest river in America and one of Missouri's most vital resources. • About 5 million tons of cargo move along the Missouri River annually. • More than half of Missouri’s population gets their drinking water from the Missouri River or its alluvial wells. • About one-fourth of all the agricultural land in the U.S. is found in the Missouri River watershed, which provides more than one-third of the country’s wheat, flax, barley, and oats.
