๐ D4D - Design for Demise ๐ Space debris poses a significant challenge for the space community. Various mitigation methods have been explored, including safely moving satellites to long-term orbits or disposing of them through re-entry. However, re-entry carries risks, particularly in Low Earth Orbits (LEO). To address this, an European Space Agency - ESA-led project by OHB SE focused on developing design concepts to ensure safe structure break-up at high altitudes. At Aerospace & Advanced Composites GmbH, we've developed a cost-efficient testbed for simulating atmospheric re-entry at altitudes of 120 to 80 km. These tests assess component disintegration, identify failure mechanisms, and aid in material and component selection for future missions. Our commitment to rigorous testing enhances safety and effectiveness in re-entry processes, advancing aerospace technology and ensuring mission success. ๐ฐ #SpaceDebris #AerospaceTechnology #MissionSuccess #spaceindustry #spacetechnology

More than 40 years ago I offered the world a General Planetary Vehicle (GPV), which is a geospace aircraft for non-rocket exploration of near space. Thanks to this innovation, industrial enterprises will be brought into the Earth orbit, while cargo and passenger transportation will provide delivering of products and service personnel. Implementation of the GPV takeoff and landing complex requires the construction of an equatorial overpass encircling the planet. Its length will be more than 40,000 km. At the same time, the most part of the platform will be built in the ocean. I told more about the technology in the video report presented at the VI International Scientific and Technical Conference โNon-Rocket Near Space Industrialization: Problems, Ideas, Projectsโ. https://lnkd.in/exGH_-s2 #ัะฝะธัะบะธะน #unitsky #worldengineer #saveearth #biotechnology #spaceexploration #uspace #gpv

The space industry continues to transition from traditional heavy systems to new, smaller spacecraft systems. This has brought about several changes in technology, including propulsion. In our latest spotlight article with Rubicon Space Systems, we highlight the importance of green propellant and how it can increase the rideshare opportunity for spacecraft that require chemical propulsion. The article also features Rubicon Space Systemsโ product lines of thrusters and propulsion systems. Senior Field Engineer for The Computer Dudes' Inc. thecomputerdudesinc.com We serve 6 Southern States and the World.
Want to save the ISS by pushing it into a higher "Storage" Orbit and then building a Space Ship Yard for satellite, spacecraft, and space station - building, repair, and training? Follow #iss #higherorbit #parkingorbit #spaceshipyard #spacejunkyard Some of which are new tags. :) Our proposal is to use a couple of "space tugs" or thruster packs attached directly to ISS with a slow boost in orbit. More people and more companies must get involved because our current solutions are all too expensive as well as not safe. The people of Earth simply cannot depend on Governments or Corporations to do the right things and keep people safe on Earth as well as in Space. This is your call to action. The Gauntlet is thrown - in challenge - by The Computer Dudes and I. Who will accept the challenge? Regards and Best Wishes, Todd W.
