It was great to be a part of this, there is an interesting future ahead in the energy sector as we all collectively navigate the #energytransition and it was good to share some thoughts on potential changes in the digital domain.

A Valuable Experience: 🌐 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is where energy professionals from around the world converge to exchange ideas, discuss innovations, and address the most pressing topics in the offshore energy sector. As the world transitions toward a more sustainable and low-carbon future, OTC provides a central hub for diverse conversations focused on the latest developments needed to accelerate the global energy mix. 📊 Attendance Metrics: This year’s OTC, held at NRG Park in Houston, Texas, brought together over 31,000 (estimated) offshore energy professionals from more than 100 countries. While attendance was lower than in previous years, the quality of interactions and opportunities remained high. As an attendee, I had the privilege of engaging with industry thought leaders, investors, buyers, and entrepreneurs, and seeing some of their great work through the technical presentations. 🤝 Key Client Interactions: During OTC 2024, I had the honor of connecting with some of my key clients. Petrobras, a major player in the oil and gas industry, shared insights into their latest projects, one that was ket to me was the Campos Basin Revitalization, and also the sustainability initiatives. Baker Hughes discussed cutting-edge technologies and their commitment to a cleaner energy future, achieving two awards for Technology Spotlight, one that involved several of my former colleagues. And with Schlumberger (SLB), I explored collaborative opportunities in core services and equipment, their view of the Energy focus, was something definitely interesting, as they are one of the segment leaders. 🌎 Latin America Focus: One of the highlights was witnessing companies actively promoting activities and partnerships in Latin America. As someone passionate about the region, I engaged in discussions about offshore exploration, renewable energy, and regional growth prospects. The energy landscape in Latin America is evolving rapidly, and OTC provided a platform to explore its potential. Brazil certainly made the spotlight for me, with Petrobras, ANP, IBP actively engaging 🚀 Looking Ahead: As we wrap up OTC 2024, I’m already looking forward to next year’s event. I believe it will be an even greater opportunity to leverage business prospects, strengthen relationships, and contribute to shaping the future of offshore energy, but above all things, these events continue to be a way to strengthen relationships, meet friends and peers, and find ways to work together.
