U.S. and Korean Solar Manufacturing: Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategies 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2 Facing China’s dominance of global solar panel supply chains, the United States and South Korea have sought to buttress their domestic manufacturing. Energy Innovation Reform Project (EIRP) is pleased to invite you to a discussion with leading experts from both countries who have written important and timely papers on these issues. Featured speakers include: David Hart, author of “Diversity, Domesticate, and Disrupt: Strengthening America’s Nascent Effort to Build a Resilient and Robust Solar PV Supply Chain” and public policy professor at George Mason University. Chinho Park, coauthor of “South Korea’s Solar Power Industry: Status and Prospects,” distinguished professor at the Korea Institute of Energy Technology (KENTECH) and former president of the Korea Photovoltaic Society. Dr. Park will join via video. Jae Ho Yun, coauthor of “South Korea’s Solar Power Industry: Status and Prospects,” professor KENTECH and vice president of the Korea Photovoltaic Society. Dr. Yun will join via video. Paul Saunders, EIRP President, will moderate the discussion. The meeting will begin with a light buffet breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m.; we will commence the panel discussion at 9:00 a.m. sharp.
