Oooh my latest ballet tip... how to improve the quality of your glissade. It's such an overlooked step, but it is the absolute foundation of preparation for so many leaps and jumps that getting the quality just right will have a huge impact on so much of your work. https://lnkd.in/eaUG9A3g Let me know how you get on.

Recently, I had the chance to witness the most popular ballet in Geneva - "Swan Lake" performed by the Royal Classical Ballet. It was a sheer delight to experience the brilliance, charm, synchrony, and storytelling in one of the oldest art forms. As I navigate through a transitional phase in my life, I am more open to learning and motivation, no matter where I am or what I am doing. Ballet, as an art form and discipline, imparts valuable lessons that extend beyond the dance studio. From discipline and dedication to creativity and artistic expression, here are some key learnings from ballet that can be applied to life in general: - Discipline and Dedication - Physical and Mental Strength - Precision and Attention to Detail - Posture and Body Awareness - Teamwork and Collaboration - Resilience in the Face of Failure - Expressiveness and Communication - Time Management - Creativity and Artistic Expression - Cultural Appreciation - Goal Setting and Achievement - Mind-Body Connection What life lessons have you learned from an art form? I love this video of how Jerome Robbins of the New York City Ballet turned chaos into beauty as part of creating the final version of the ballet, Glass Pieces. This concept is not solely about ballet or dance; it can be applied to business and how the best ideas often come from uncertainty or, indeed, “chaos.” Make the most of an unexpected situation. This could, and has, led to some of the best highly differentiated business solutions. https://lnkd.in/eEKbn_dk

When I was 13yrs old, I wanted to be a ballet dancer. This was my audition picture for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Summer School - I luckily got in and had a summer that completely changed my life and world perspective. I am now very far from that reality, but I have taken a lot of the lessons I learned into the work I do today in people centric change. I would love to know what you wanted to be at 13yrs old and as a result, what change you lead yourself through to get you to where you are today? Share your thoughts below in the comments. #leadingchange Maleeha M.

https://lnkd.in/eR2mAwJT The Ora Ballet Cat. - £19,000 My 1st thoughts. I'm extremely impressed with what The People's Republic of China are doing with Styling, Design, Curb Appeal & Engineering of EVs. It certainly makes the latest Vauxhaul Corsa EV look like an 'Old Suit' that you found in the back of your wardrobe... in fact - I'm impressed with everything that the Chinese are offering to 'The West'. (maybe, not quite so much their political set-up - but it seems to hold China together & prevents it from fragmenting as Western Society is). China is a sort of - North Korea 'Lite' Political system. 😄 The Western Democracies huge downfall is the inclusive & diversity culture that's been imposed on us. Multiple Religion & Culture with the accompanying restriction on personal views & expression is a repressive, retrograde step for 'The West'. It will not work & will only use up money , resources to maintain it. Wokeism is The West's own form of a Repressive 'One Party State' system imposed on us, that rivals the Chinese System. The only difference is - China presses on to impress, we spend time discussing Inclusion & Diversity. 🤦🏽♂️ Anyway, back to the topic - The West had better pull its socks up very quickly indeed. Our Industry is bogged down with 'conformism' of ideas. We need fresh views on how to appeal to the public appetite for adventure & style. Cars like the Vauxhall Corsa EV & similar, simply don't cut the mustard in style & innovation, for the motorist.

Today for #health and #happiness, #art break and inspiration to #dance throughout your day, at home or work, I would like to share my #ballet "A Midsummer Night's Dream". It is from last year April 2, which is my birthday, and is a true example of my #intuition. Out of so many beautiful ballets I love, I don't know why I chose to dance to it on my birthday. Yesterday I learned that Frederick Ashton staged this ballet (with the name The Dream) for the first time at the Royal Opera House in London, UK on my birthday April 2, 1964. The occasion was the 400th birthday of William Shakespeare with whom we share the same birthday April 2. This is more about the ballet "The Dream" from The Royal Opera House, which I came across yesterday when researching which ballet I want to dance next for #happiness and #health. https://lnkd.in/gDS3QkFM Intuition works in strange ways, I have found. Without knowing why you choose the most appropriate #action for any given moment and situation, without reasoning, it's your first choice if you still yourself. However, with #reasoning, you may not always listen to your intuition. So it's good to play and test your intuition and inner voice, which will be beneficial for #work and personal development! For example, if you are a #physician, you intuitively know what to ask the patient, look for, and the best treatment. If you are a #scientist, you choose the most appropriate questions to solve or techniques for testing your hypothesis (if you have one). It is not surprising that notable scientists like Dr. Rita Levi-Montalchini thought intuition is essential in #science. This is how ballet helps to develop one's #intuition. #ballet #ballerina #heart #mind #soul #intuition #womenhistorymonth
