By increasing the capacity and backup time of the emergency power supply of the data center, extending the power supply time, and reducing the investment cost of the UPS system, the economic efficiency of data center operations can be improved. 1.1 360° safety strategy The system achieves 360° all-around protection through energy storage system safety technologies such as internal resistance monitoring, internal short monitoring, temperature gradient change monitoring, and combustible gas concentration monitoring to ensure the safety of the data center. 1.2 Ensure absolute safety The system directly immerses the battery in insulating coolant, greatly improving the uniformity of the battery cell operating temperature, and the battery temperature difference is <2°C. Charging during low electricity price periods and discharging during peak electricity price periods can greatly reduce electricity costs by using the peak-valley price difference, thereby saving electricity costs. 3.3 High system efficiency and efficient operation The charge and discharge depth of the Nowtech immersion liquid cooling energy storage system can reach 100%, the system efficiency can reach more than 90%, the cycle life is increased by more than 30%, and the energy consumption is greatly reduced. *** At system level, the balance between energy and material efficiency looks different *** There is certainly a trade-off to be made between the #EnergyEfficiency and the #MaterialEfficiency of a distribution #transformer. To increase the energy efficiency usually means to increase the amount of active material in the unit. This also happens in #electricmotors and #powercables. As a result, it is often questioned whether enhancing the efficiency beyond the Ecodesign Tier 2 is still worth the material. When making this trade-off, however, one should also look at the broader picture. Additional energy savings at transformer level means that less capacity is needed in power generation, transmission and distribution “upstream” from the unit, resulting in substantial material savings.
