Today I got the chance to speak at Adobe’s Analytics & Appetisers event, on a panel, discussing the future of AI & Digital Analytics. Thank you to Sarah Bott for inviting me, Ben Gaines for hosting the panel and David Ellis & Eric Matisoff for a great discussion. The future for AI & digital analytics is continuously evolving and it is exciting. Analysts will need to be open to continuously learn and stay up to date with what’s happening in the market. There will be a need for Analysts to apply more strategic thinking in their approach. Learning will focus not only the technical skills but the softer skills that goes alongside it. Humans provide the context and understanding that not all AI models can bring. We do however, need to watch out for black box models, where we don’t know how AI is working, AI bias & ethics around what data we collect. As long as we keep these things in mind the outputs could be amazing. My opinions now and what happens in the future may not align but I am keen to see how AI can change the space for digital analytics space.
