There are a few clear attributes and traits that Gen Z looks for in an employer including digital fluency, genuine relationships, and equality. While many millennials and Gen Z workers are attracted by remote and hybrid work schedules, there are also plenty who want to be part of an office environment or be on-site to help build those relationships and help with collaboration and communication. #mriraleigh #hiringprocess #talent #genz https://lnkd.in/gQzMfN-c

AM thoughts The problem is employers refuse to evolve with the ever changing needs and structure of talent in the market. They want to make the same employer value proposition to the Gen Z and millennials that they made to the baby boomers and Gen X. Job seekers are now doing reference checks on employers because no one wants to walk blindly into a “the grass isn’t so green on the other side after all” situation so next time you’re recruiting ask yourselves why your “ideal” candidates have not submitted in their applications. Candidates can blacklist an employer. The new generation is changing the ball game between employers and talent in the market. Do better, create positive employee experiences or else you will keep thinking you’re an employer of choice when the talent market has written you off. #recruitment #employerofchoice #employerbranding

Recruitment processes are extremely helpful when it comes to keeping people engaged and focused. But the challenge most employers are facing is expecting more talent to appear in the pipeline. There are not people available based upon the exiting boomers, number of X and Y people born, and the number of years the millennials have been working. This expectation hurts employers who want to keep shopping for someone who is not going to appear.
