They are committed to spending $100 million with Black-owned businesses over the next 3 years, achieving 25% year-over-year growth in spending with minority-owned businesses, expediting payments to U.S. small businesses, and providing support, training, mentorship, and enablement for underrepresented minority founders. 📈 Salesforce has introduced several programs to deepen its investment in minority-owned businesses. They launched the Black-Owned Business Mentor Program, supported the National Minority Supplier Development Council CRM License Initiative, and committed $100 million to underrepresented minority founders through Salesforce Ventures. As a member of the MagicFuse (by TechMagic) team and in our role as a Salesforce Ridge(Silver) Partner, I'm glad to see firsthand how diversity and inclusion shape the tech industry for the better. I’m excited to share that DocuSign has kicked off our Global Inclusion Speaker Series and, for the first time, we’re opening up this internal forum and sharing these powerful conversations with the rest of the world. Promoting inclusivity and fostering greater understanding is core to our work at DocuSign. Through sharing our Global Inclusion Speaker Series externally we are providing a platform for diverse voices and leaders within the company to have important DEI-related discussions. We’re honored to be collaborating with organizations like the National Black MBA Association - Raleigh/Durham Chapter, the Hispanic Technology Executive Council (HITEC), CodePath, Break Through Tech, and Blacks In Technology to extend these conversations. I have the privilege of working with some really amazing people at DocuSign who are doing the work every day to build an organization where everyone feels like they can belong, contribute and advance. Tokenism in your inclusion efforts made it clear you don't care. Seriously. It did. - Do you remember the black squares in 2020? - Do you remember the pledges to do better? - Do you remember the talks of effort and changes to bring about inclusivity? Now. - Do you remember the CEOs who recently came out to say they feel pressured? - Do you remember a certain prominent voice saying DEI should DIE? - Do you remember the companies who pledged and their companies continued with a lack of representation, diversity or inclusion? Yes, we all do. This is why people are choosing to walk away from these companies, no longer spend money with these companies and boycott these brands. As humans, we value empathy, inclusion and care and once we see that efforts are fake, regaining that trust back will be difficult. If you're overwhelmed with how you make a tangible effort and pledge to change, let's have a chat to ensure that you don't fall into the tokenistic bucket.

Our latest article where David Aldrich who was nominated as a Top 10 - Champions Allies the Ethnicity Awards 2023 shares his insights on fostering diversity and inclusion from an investment perspective. His leadership and dedication to equity are truly inspiring!    David: "My primary role is as Managing Director, Commercial Group EMEA, overseeing Moody's Ratings' revenue and coverage across Europe, Middle East and Africa. I also find great joy as the Executive Sponsor for the Black Inclusion Group in EMEA, a Business Resource Group focused on supporting Black employees' recruitment, empowerment, and advancement, fostering a diverse and inclusive culture.   For me, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) means creating an environment that values everyone's contributions, with a workforce that feels valued, represented, and comes from diverse backgrounds and experiences.   My proudest achievement within Moody’s Inclusion initiatives is being welcomed as an ally as the Executive Sponsor for the Black Inclusion Group. This role allows me to function both as an ally and facilitator, drawing attention to the important work of the Group    I'm excited about three key initiatives of the Black Inclusion Group.    First is the Allyship business case, which emphasizes the role non-Black employees can play in promoting inclusivity.    Second, our partnership with the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust (ACLT). The Black Inclusion Group nominated ACLT to receive a grant of USD22,500, supporting their work on donor shortage awareness.    And third, our sponsorship of Urban Synergy, where we raised £25,000 and participated in their mentoring program.   Three individuals who have significantly influenced my journey most recently, and there are many others, are Florence Henderson, AVP-Inclusion, EMEA, who has been a personal inspiration, and David Tim Njoroge and Ousmane Gassama, the Co-Chairs of the Black Inclusion Group. Their enthusiasm and support have been invaluable.   In terms of allyship, I believe it's about mindset. It's not a task to be completed, but a way of living where you constantly strive to be better. It's about making small, consistent actions every day to promote inclusivity, rather than grand gestures.
