Even though I’ve been aware this was coming, I’m hugely overwhelmed and humbled by this honour. Special thanks to AfriCans of South West Winnipeg for nominating and lobbying for this recognition. Manitoba Housing, the City of Winnipeg, numerous Nadi Group staff, and professional colleagues, have over the last two decades, all added their knowledge and support to the evolution of the neighbourhoods of Bridgwater. While I’m immensely proud of the work I’ve done here, and the community we’ve co—created, I believe the real legacy behind the naming of the park is as a celebration of the deep spirit of diversity so important to inspire our youth and inform a brighter future!
Over the weekend, we are delighted to announce that our CEO & Founder, Emeka Nnadi was honoured with an official park named after him in the Bridgwater area. The newly titled "Emeka Nnadi Park" recognizes his pivotal role in the creation and design of the Bridgwater neighbourhoods from its inception. This prestigious recognition underscores his exceptional leadership and commitment to the community. "I feel like the honouring is, it's not really about me. It's about inspiring others to follow."
