We are just over half way through the EMCC Global Conference and our minds are already buzzing with new perspectives, meeting old and new friends and being inspired by our keynote speakers and by each other. Erling Rugsten ignited our taste buds as well as our minds with his story of how profound experiences in his childhood led to his love of food and his career as a chief. Bringing chocolate creations to taste, he showed us the power of different senses and the fundamental ability of food as the energy for our bodies. Corina B. Breban presented the compelling argument that ‘when the going gets tough’ in leadership it is already too late. The power of ‘priming’ so that we are already prepared. And a top tip as to how to keep meetings short - comment below if you want to know! Peju Adebajo brought us up to speed with new research, with statistics on future workforce that both disturbed and channeled our attentions. The use of the inner development goals IDGs as a lens for personal reflection. She also brought us up on our feet, with a Bruno Mars classic that energised dancing. Ending Day Two was André Kuipers, with stories of his astronaut experiences that got all the round tables of attendees, both in-person and online, speaking excitedly about analogy, about adaptability and about our role as coaches in helping our clients and organisations take a world view. Are you at the conference? In-person and virtual attendees can also see a demonstration of Geert Kruijswijk’s Navigating Stress mental health toolkit AND put their name in a draw to win a boxed toolkit for themselves. Head to the display area or see the virtual flyer you will have received in order to take part. Waving to our virtual attendees too - and our online sponsor Dr Clare Beckett-McInroy EdD MCC ACTC MP ITCA ESIA and the BECKETT MCINROY Consultancy (BMC) 'enabling potential...' CoachME team who are taking part in the online round tables mirroring our in-person discussions. We are exhilarated half way through and there is still the conference dinner and three more keynotes to go! Are you here? Drop your pictures below too and leave us a comment. #EMCC2024 Stephen Murphy Dr. Riza KADILAR Rachael Hanley-Browne MA Duygu YILDIRIM Nicola Brown Rosie Hawes
