😲 It is not every day that you discover you are featured on a large poster in a big shopping centre! But... I’ve decided to embrace the discomfort and use it as an opportunity to say #THANKYOU to the great people I work with at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). 😀 I’ve been facilitating in-person and online workshops for UNITAR for over four years. Using experiential learning to engage participants in the Sustainable Development Goals and reflect on mindset change as part of UN Immersions, Young leader programmes and university visits to the Palais des Nations in Geneva. 🌟 Out of curiosity, I just ran the numbers and have discovered that to date I have run 105 workshops for UNITAR! Wow! How time flies when you are having fun. I had no idea it was that many! 💙 The thing that I love most about working with UNITAR is the #people. 🌍 The diversity of the participants who come from all over the world and from many different walks of life. I’ve learnt a lot through my interactions with them. #thankyou 💪 And most of all, the positive outlook, great organising skills and kindness of the UNITAR team. #thankyou Julian Caletti Azra Saify Michael A. The Toughest Second Week! Mid december, I joined uni after appearing for end semester examinations and it was overwhelming, had back to back scheduled events both personal and professional leaving me jam packed for the week. (1) Dissentè - the Flagship intra departmental competition of DEBSOC - SBM ( 8th, 9th and 11th December 2024 ) - DEBSOC- SBM believes that the quality of the event is enhanced by the quality of the judges, giving the participants concise and standard judgments. - My role here was to get expert judges for each round, connected with multiple profiles and finalised 13 judges who added great value to our event! (2) INNOWAVE - The Official Entrepreneurship Summit of CHRIST ( 12th and 13th December 2024 ) - I was incharge of the Backstage committee, where I managed our team and ran the auditorium event for two days, which had 30+ speakers. - I also had an opportunity to master the ceremony for 6 hour long event, where SS Rajamouli, a director I truly admire and respect from the bottom of my heart was present for a keynote session. (3) The Green Wave: How Regulations are driving Sustainable Business Revolution ( 11th December 2024 ) - A speaker session organised by SDG CELL - SBM, where I’m the core representative. Connecting with speakers, coordinating with committee members and ensuring micromanagement was one of my main responsibilities here. Each of these events hold significance in its own way and requires genuine and conscientious work to be done. But to my surprise or coincidence all this happened in the same week, some even clashing, along with close family events which were a compulsion to attend! This week taught me a lot, it made me realise the importance of discipline and commitment! importance of discipline : I never clubbed any of my work, I segregated my work event wise, made a check list and priority list worked on each event for a designated amount of time. commitment: It did get exhausting, there was an overload of work, but I never let it be an excuse because, knowingly or unknowingly I’ve signed up for it, hence irrespective of the consequences, I chose to give my 100%. I would end by saying that too much of Multi tasking might not be of great impact on us, because when I was doing so many things at the same time, - I had to sideline from an event I had initially agreed to coordinate for. - Started being very forgetful and my concentration levels dropped. - Irregular sleep schedule and low energy. I’d conclude by saying, Multi management may come with lots of stress and challenges, but in the end it’s worth to gain different experiences, work in different streams and most importantly build new connections all at the same time!! #multimanagement #stressmanagement #studentlife #commitment

Story 3, "Neurodiversity Unleashed From Struggle to Success in a Neurotypical World"   Renee, a brilliant and creative individual. was diagnosed as neurodiverse early in life, and while she embraced her unique perspective, the world around her often didn't. Stereotypes and biases followed her like a shadow, casting doubt on her abilities and potential.   Despite the challenges, Renee was determined to not let stereotypes and others perspectives define her. She enrolled in OrgFit International's CEAC training program, where she discovered the power of Shared Progress. The CEAC course opened her eyes to a world where differences were celebrated, not shunned. She learned how to leverage her unique cognitive abilities to drive innovation and growth, much like how disruption can lead to new opportunities in the business world.   Renee was able to articulate her cognitive strengths. She was amazed at how this course could provide such valuable insights. She saw how her ability to think differently could be a superpower, not a limitation.   With newfound confidence, Renee began to challenge the status quo in her workplace. She advocated for more inclusive hiring practices and encouraged diverse thinking. She measured progress and adapted strategies as needed, always committed to fostering an environment of equity, diversity, and neurodiversity.   Renee's journey was not easy, but it was worth it. She found her nuero, proving that neurodiversity was not a hindrance, but a strength. She showed that when given the right tools and support, neurodiverse individuals could thrive and contribute significantly to their organizations. #2023InReview ✨ One of the things I grasped on in 2023 are the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), which provides a framework of the transformative skills to achieve healthy, sustainable development. This framework was developed to guide researchers, scientists and practitioners in the space to further address the challenges faced in social and environmental impact, and thus also enhancing community development. Not only that, but this framework is one of the many tools that has helped me (personally and professionally) to navigate through the best and challenging times of this year. And I will continue to use these tools into 2024! The IDGs Framework consists of five dimensions organising 23 skills and qualities of human inner growth and development: 1️⃣ Being - Relationship to Self 2️⃣ Thinking - Cognitive Skills 3️⃣ Relating - Caring for others and the world 4️⃣ Collaborating - Social skills 5️⃣ Acting - Enabling change As a huge advocate for personal and professional development, I reflect on my growth this year and have used the IDGs to build on my current skills and understanding of the world around us. 💚 You can learn more about the IDG Framework in this article link: https://lnkd.in/g3K-Edcg #IDGs #innerdevelopmentgoals #learning #growth
