Pupils can become passive when listening to other children speak in class. So when a child has finished speaking, invite one of the other pupils to explain some words or ideas they liked in their classmate’s answer then use this to improve their own work. #primaryeducation #teach #teachprimary

Experienced Principal | Innovative Educational Leader | Advocate for Student Success | Expert Leadership Coach
Classroom observations and feedback centered on practical adjustments have demonstrated effectiveness in supporting teacher development. However, teacher observation tools comprising an extensive list of 40 checkboxes are not an efficient method for facilitating improvement. As education professionals, we should advocate for pragmatic approaches that drive education forward.
"Danielson to me is a check off, and if I get proficient, I just feel like I'm an okay teacher. Whereas with Trust-Based it's a different feeling. I'll be honest, I almost cried afterwards because I felt good about what I was doing." Impact your teachers' sense of belonging. When they feel like their hard work is noticed they want to work harder to grow. Check out Trust-Based Observations: https://lnkd.in/emQvMUxJ

As a tutor working with different schools in variety of topics I see students with low income backgrounds, language issues, special needs and etc. I try my best to see them as individual students instead of a collective group occupying my classroom! Some tips for those just started this career: 1- Teaching self advocacy skills is as important as the traditional subjects. 2- Keep in mind your students maybe are dealing with home life challenges and these things really impact their performance at school. Assess your ability to emphasize with their struggles and comprehend their challenges. 3- Be a good learner! A good teacher/tutor is a good learner. Executive Resilience Coach | Author | Speaker | Empowering Leaders & Organizations for Peak Performance
📢 Teachers Rock: without them you could not read this post. Think about it! Meet Missy Testerman, the 2024 National Teacher of the Year, hailing from Rogersville, Tennessee. With over 30 years of teaching experience, Missy is not only an elementary teacher but also an English as a Second Language Program Director. 🍎🏆 I’m Tyson and I hep teachers and school officials destress classrooms and improve student engagement. My courses and workshops promote a positive learning environment for better behavior and academic performance. 💼 Here are three valuable tips to get you started: 1️⃣ Understand that students bring hidden rules from their culture and lifestyle. By learning these rules, you can gain their trust and create a supportive classroom community. 2️⃣ Remember, you are the authority. It's not about controlling the class, but influencing it positively. Empower your students and establish an atmosphere of respect and collaboration. 3️⃣ Focus on maintaining peace and order in the classroom, not control. By granting students some autonomy, they feel free to assimilate to class rules. For more information and strategic help in implementing these processes, reach out and leave a comment to access a wealth of resources and support. You can also contact me directly at tyson@tysondthompson.com. 📧 Let's transform your teaching journey together! 💪📚 #Teachers #Education #TransformingClassrooms https://lnkd.in/gKF43QTm
