The laparoscopic approach is a highly innovative method that we frequently prefer for the surgical treatment of anterior pelvic ring injuries and symphysis pubis separations in orthopedic surgery. This approach can also be applied to acetabular fractures in selected cases. In this particular case, we performed a laparoscopic-assisted (total extraperitoneal approach) minimally invasive percutaneous screw and plate fixation for a patient with a left acetabulum transverse fracture. Compared to traditional open surgeries, the laparoscopic approach offers numerous advantages, including less bleeding, reduced postoperative pain, shorter hospital stays, early postoperative mobilization, and more satisfactory cosmetic results.
