Why is Explainable AI(XAI) essential? Understanding how AI reaches decisions is crucial for trust and accountability. XAI answers burning questions: - Why did the AI make a specific prediction? - Why didn't it choose an alternative action? - When did it succeed, and when did it fail? Gain transparency with interpretable ML models like decision trees and Bayesian classifiers. But what about complex algorithms like neural networks? That's where DARPA defines AI explainability in three parts: prediction accuracy, decision understanding, and traceability. Read more about this insightful blog: https://lnkd.in/gsCfqRc9 Emlylabs leads the charge, offering a method for creating interpretable models. Our approach empowers users to ask questions, evaluate performance, and build trust in AI. 👉 Ready to unlock the potential of XAI? Thursday is #TBT day! This time, we will remember our participation in the ICCV event that took place in the first week of October. #ICCV2023, the International Conference on Computer Vision, was held in Paris, France. We showcased demos of our carefully curated computer vision datasets, and networked with amazing people! Madalina Popescu, our Client Solution Strategist, attended the event and shared her Top 3 main highlights: ➡ Discussions on the ethical implications of AI in computer vision, including topics like facial recognition and surveillance; ➡ Engagements and discussions addressing current challenges in computer vision, such as dealing with low-quality and imbalanced datasets; ➡ Innovative methods and tools to better detect and recognize objects in various scenarios. We look forward to continuing to participate in more events like this in the future. Stay tuned! #DefinedAI #ComputerVision #ArtificialIntelligence

"The intersection of computer science and public health is fascinating. I was drawn to public health from computer science due to the potential for AI technologies to impact global health issues positively. For example, AI can read diagnostic images better than human beings can in many cases. Providing primary care physicians access to this type of technology would expand access to these services substantially, potentially helping to alleviate health care deserts. Leveraging AI techniques can lead to innovative solutions for complex health challenges." - Xin Wang. Learn more: https://buff.ly/3RPjSr0

Exciting times for technology and human potential! A couple of weeks ago, Neuralink made a groundbreaking announcement—they've kicked off recruitment for their first-in-human clinical trial. The mission? To evaluate the initial functionality of Neuralink's Brain-Computer Interface (BCI), which has the potential to empower individuals with paralysis to control external devices through the power of their thoughts. The promises are incredibly high, and the implications for the future of technology and healthcare are vast. I can't help but wonder—how do you see this unfolding Alex Velinov Remo Gettini Rico Surridge Leon Ciechanowski Allan Stewart David Davies CTSP M.IPSA ? Do you believe Neuralink's plan will be a resounding success, and if so, how significant a role do you think machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms will play in this journey? I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this exciting development! #Neuralink #BCI #TechInnovation #healthcare

What do computer science students think about the future of AI? Last weekend at VIScon, we discussed this at our booth: We counted opinions and built a lego chart. As you see, the majority thinks of AI as a tool for enhanced human collaboration. While there seems to be a spirit of limitless global advancement in the room, there are concerns as well. One of them is fairness. This is why we did a workshop on ML fairness at VIScon, exploring how to detect and alleviate algorithmic biases. Thank you, Bernhard Vennemann, Christianna Toliopoulou and Alexandros Kalimeris. We also had a talk about the Architecture of a Real-time Data Distribution Platform, detailing how to distribute terabytes of data around the globe in low latency - thank you, Samuel von Baußnern. Many thanks go to ETH Zürich, the organization team of VIScon, VIScon Admin, and all the students who engaged with us. It was a pleasure working with you! See you soon. #AI #hackathon #data #future #students #VIScon #VIScon2023 #doneai
