Techstars Boulder is run in a hybrid format where founders spend the first and final weeks in-person in Boulder, Colorado and the remainder of the program is remote-first. The Build in Tulsa Techstars Accelerator is an in-person, industry agnostic program focused on underrepresented founders. The Techstars Anywhere Remote Accelerator has an ‘Anywhere Remote’ model that provides the value of a top-tier Techstars accelerator to companies in North American timezones. For founders who are unable to relocate, Techstars Anywhere Remote provides the flexibility to participate in an accelerator program from anywhere. The program meets in person 3 times in various cities throughout the Americas. The Techstars Atlanta Powered by J.P. Morgan accelerator program is designed to provide equitable access to funding and support for Black, Hispanic and Latino, Indigenous American and Pacific Islander entrepreneurs who are building the future of Commerce Technology, Consumer Brands and Platforms, and the Creator Economy. The upcoming program will run in a remote-first format with the first and final weeks in person, and the rest of the program operating in a remote setting. The Techstars Berlin Accelerator program provides Deep Tech founders and beyond a nurturing environment that combines funding, mentorship, resources and valuable networks to accelerate the growth of their startups. The Techstars Boston Accelerator program leverages the vast expertise of the Boston ecosystem to accelerate the growth of startups making an impact on the future of health, climate, work and society, by providing founders with unparalleled access to top mentors, investors and experts in our community. The Techstars Columbus Powered by The Ohio State University focuses on novel software solutions to pressing global issues experienced by every world citizen. Some themes of particular interest are: health care accessibility, mainstreaming mental health care,  financial security products, “social” media focused on IRL connectedness, and solutions for us to affordably reduce our carbon footprints. This upcoming Friday at River City Labs I am doing my group mentoring session. So far there are over 40 registrations. But, what even is this group mentoring thing? It's basically the first things that I teach every new person to the startup ecosystem, delivered in a group setting. I've been doing it on and off for roughly ten years. 🚀 Joining a startup's board of directors is a thrilling challenge! 🚀 Often, I hear aspiring board members being advised to start with a young or small company. However, paradoxically, serving on a startup's board demands even more time, experience, and energy than a well-established business. Being on a board isn't just about bringing your extensive corporate management experience; it's a unique profession on its own. But it's also about embracing formality and technique. Many argue that this formalism isn't compatible with the creativity and agility of startups. However, board members play a crucial role in safeguarding the company, especially when young companies are particularly vulnerable.
