Women in leadership frequently face a 'glass cliff,' being promoted to key leadership roles amid crises where the risk of failure is high. Supporting senior women is a challenge organisations must tackle to retain top-tier talent. Recent Ipsos data suggest we're not there yet. Our global research shows senior women feel less supported and less equipped for their roles than men, and are more hesitant to voice their opinions. Setting representation targets is great, but not enough. Beyond promotions, organisations must create an environment that gives women the tailored support and tools they need once they have broken the glass ceiling. Being part of the Raise the Bar Panel at the Women in Business Leadership Panel at the OU Price College of Business was a fantastic experience. Collaborating with incredible women like Dr. Belinda Higgs Hyppolite, OU Diversity Officer, and Jessica Clayton, Chief Deputy County Commissioner, was truly an honor. We had a great time sharing stories and insights about women in business and leadership in a laid-back setting. The myth that women don't support other women is just that—a myth. From my experience and observation, there's a strong and uplifting network of women supporting each other in various aspects of life. Whether it's in the workplace, community, or personal relationships, women often rally together, share experiences, and provide invaluable encouragement. This stereotype overlooks the countless instances of collaboration, mentorship, and genuine camaraderie among women. In reality, there's a powerful sisterhood that thrives on mutual empowerment and solidarity, debunking the unfounded notion that women are somehow unsupportive of one another. The conference vibe was all about empowerment and support, creating a space where diverse perspectives could shine. Being part of that conversation was both humbling and invigorating, as it wasn't just about our individual experiences but also about encouraging and inspiring the next generation of women leaders. The shared commitment to raising the bar in business leadership made the event memorable and impactful. Thanks to Breea Clark, Director of the J.C.
