As we celebrate the wonders of our natural world, we cannot ignore the looming threat of climate change. It is one of the greatest challenges of our time, with far-reaching consequences for our environment, our economy, and our way of life. We must take bold action to address this crisis head-on.

So, 96% of the US population is now covered by a climate action plan. Indiana developed both a statewide Priority CAP and a regional plan for the Indianapolis MSA. All these plans had to identify and prioritize LIDAC communities. This is an exciting time to be researching climate resilience in local governments. https://lnkd.in/g-y5dWvX

Absolute YES to this (and YES for tomorrow.) Because: Profit-driven resource exploitation, historical inequalities from colonialism, and a short-term focus often neglects environmental concerns, particularly in extractive industries. It defeats the purpose of fostering long-term sustainability, social equity, and a healthy planet for future generations. So rethink about our fundamental systems. Understand the root causes, what drives our behaviour, who benefits from it and why. Act wisely, make informed responsible choices for an authentic systemic change.
