| A Note to Myself | There are moments when I question whether my career truly aligns with my skills and the life goals I've set for myself. It's a tough decision, considering whether to follow your passion or stick with the familiar. But one thing I've learned is that everything has its time. The key is to address the elephant in the room – acknowledge your feelings and concerns. We shouldn't be the employee who silently quits; we should be the ones who catalyze change in the workforce. Opportunities have a way of arriving at the perfect moment. Don't rush your decisions; trust that the right time will come, neither too early nor too late. It's all about being prepared and seizing the moment when it arrives. By embracing our skills, understanding our desires, and being flexible in our methods while remaining stubborn with our goals, we can make a significant impact. Communication is the linchpin that can mend, enhance, and transform. Let's strive not just for personal alignment but also for a better organization, a stronger nation, and a more interconnected world. It all begins with us. #CareerReflection #LifeGoals #PositiveChange

Creating thriving teams and cultures, helping executive directors get the results they've always wanted.
Want to have a fantastic, kick-ass team that gets it done, every time? Take time upfront to understand who each person is - what they are excited by & what motivates them. One of my favorite ways to do this is to have 3 different career conversations. Talk about what drives them and what they value most. Ask about their dreams for their career—their personal vision. Create a career action plan together. Know how each person prefers to communicate, learn, and receive feedback, and tailor your approach to their needs. Do they prefer to shadow someone doing a task, listen to a presentation, or read and discuss instructions? Do they appreciate in-the-moment feedback, or does it interrupt the flow of their work? Learning about your team members is a KEY aspect of developing your emotional intelligence, AND your team members' too. Read more about how to do this in this month's blog post here: https://lnkd.in/et3MBBGB #ontheblog #amandasilver #amandasilverconsulting #leadershipcoach #leadershipdevelopment #shemeansbusiness #womeninbusiness #leadershipconsultant #consultant #darcitraining #darci #emotionalintelligence #womeninconsulting #womeninleadership #teammanagement #teamleader #bestbusinesscoach #winspiration #womensupportingwomen #femmepreneur #solopreneur #smallbusinesssaturday #NHbusiness #writingforleaders #mindsetwins #girlbosshustle #girlbosslife

I've witnessed countless talented individuals hold back early in their careers, unsure of their own potential. Today, I want to urge you, particularly those starting your professional journey: recognize your strengths early and be vocal about them! Why? Here's the reality: 🚀Early self-awareness is a game-changer. Understanding your strengths allows you to seek opportunities that align with your talents, leading to faster growth and greater satisfaction. 🚀Confidence attracts opportunities. Vocalizing your strengths isn't arrogance; it's demonstrating self-belief and value. This confidence positions you for impactful roles and inspires others to believe in your potential. 🚀Strengths shine when shared. Collaboration thrives when team members leverage each other's strengths. By communicating your strengths, you foster a culture of teamwork and shared success. Remember, recognizing your strengths isn't a one-time event. It's a continuous journey of self-discovery, fueled by self-reflection, seeking constructive feedback, and personal growth. Now, the key question: HOW TO BE VOCAL? - Do it authentically. Share your strengths in a way that feels genuine and comfortable for you. - Focus on value: Highlight how your strengths can benefit the team or project, not just personal achievements. - Seek the right audience: Share your strengths with mentors, colleagues, and leaders who can provide support and opportunities. Empowering yourself by recognizing and vocalizing your strengths isn't just career advice; it's a leadership mindset. It empowers you to contribute meaningfully, inspire others, and ultimately, create a fulfilling and impactful career journey. Share your thoughts! What are your strengths, and how do you advocate for them in your career? #careergrowth #personalgrowth #mindset #careeradvice

In the corporate world, growth is significantly influenced by behaviour and the value one brings to the table. How one presents himself shapes perceptions that can either propel or hinder career advancement. Some of these behaviours are as follows - 1. Waiting for instructions rather than taking initiative. 2. Relying on others to provide all the answers. 3. Constantly seeking approval for your actions. 4. Avoiding decision-making due to lack of confidence. 5. Prioritizing impressing your boss over honing your skills. #professionalgrowth #careerdevelopment #leadershipskills #workplacesuccess #selfimprovement #corporatelife

Whether you are looking to gain momentum in your career, achieve first quarter goals, or reach an organizational milestone, being clear and intentional about goal-setting and working to achieve them is essential. Earlier in the month, I advised these three steps: Make them both clear and actionable. Develop a step-by-step plan. Review and adjust when necessary. Building on these foundational steps, let’s dive into three additional strategies to further empower your journey: ✅Embrace a Growth Mindset: View challenges as opportunities for growth. A positive mindset is key to overcoming obstacles and achieving your goals. ✅Leverage Team Strengths: Utilize the diverse skills and strengths within your team. Collaboration can accelerate progress towards shared objectives. ✅Slow Down to Speed Up: Take a moment along the way to gain clarity of your goals, and ensure this is where you want to end up. What helps you achieve your own goals? Share in the comments - I would love to hear. #GoalSetting #GoalSettingTips #HRConsulting

Trusted Marketing Consigliere and Strategic Thought Leader With a Passion for Mentoring and Driving Marketing Innovation and Product Led Growth
Stop Resisting Change The real secret of world-class performers lies not in the daily routines they develop but in their unwavering commitment to sticking to them. They show up, day in and day out, even when the motivation wanes or the road gets tough. It's not just about drive or passion; it's about grit and discipline—the deep inner resolve to keep going. Why? Purpose fuels discipline, and discipline empowers us to withstand the challenges that come our way. The greater the perceived effort, the stronger the resolve required to endure it. And this endurance often translates into superior performance. This equation holds true in every arena of life, from the home to the workplace. Remarkably, in countless studies across various fields—whether it's wine tasting, financial investing, or #marketing —one common finding emerges: experience alone does not define top performers. Experience and expertise don't always go hand in hand. What truly sets world-class performers apart is their unwavering commitment to their purpose, their ability to persevere when the going gets tough, and their dedication to their daily routines. So, remember, it's not just about what you know; it's about how consistently and passionately you apply it. #inbound #inbound23 #inbound2023 #opentowork #recruiters #recruiting #markerting #marketingleadership #thoughtleadership #thinkingleadership
