Shifting of Electricity networks to DC will reduce production cost of electrical and electronic equipment, reduction of transmission loss, fast recharging to EVs, electrification of Road and Rail Network with reduced infrastructure. Use of DC motors instead of AC will give better efficiency. In Solar +H2 green energy sources, removal of DC to AC invetor, AC to DC invertor to simple DC to DC converters facilitates to use of lower components with better efficiency and result.

How can our world benefit from DC technology? The NExT Factory is a best practice example for the use of DC technology, as it works exclusively with direct current from power generation to consumption. Thanks to its own PV roof system the NExT Factory is using to 100% green electricity and is therefore CO2-neutral. Moreover conversion and transmission losses are significantly reduced, which makes a direct current grid up to 15% more efficient than conventional solutions. Yesterday we were glad to introduce the NExT Factory and its energy concept and share our expertise with our guests from OVE Österreichischer Verband für Elektrotechnik and representatives of research, science and business organizations. New lines continue to make an increasingly smaller % of grid improvements. 🏢 A milestone in the All Electric Society: Building 60 with its own DC grid. A new building has been constructed at our headquarters in Blomberg, which focuses on #energyefficiency and networking. In addition to a thermal network, the building also has a 650 V DC grid. This DC grid is fed from the public AC power grid and a #photovoltaic system and connects generators, storage systems and consumers with each other. This innovative use of various technological solutions increases energy efficiency throughout the building.
