Feel like working out in the fresh air? Check out the new Cuesta Park Fitness Zone. The outdoor workout center is located just behind the YMCA and Park Pavilion. It was a collaboration between the City of Mountain View and El Camino Health. The hospital's Community Benefit Program made a $150,000 donation to support the project given physical fitness aligns closely with chronic disease prevention and management. The city is planning a formal dedication ceremony likely in September.

Did you know that 20% of pregnant women experience emotional or mood disorders? Nirmaljit Dhami, MD, medical director of the Inpatient Perinatal Psychiatry Unit at El Camino Health was a recent guest on the Women's Digital Health podcast with host Dr. Brandi Sinkfield. The discussion focused on leveraging technology to bridge the gaps in perinatal mental health care. Our chief information officer, Deb Muro, presented the keynote for the HIMSS24 Northern California Chapter’s Innovation Conference held June 20 at Microsoft in Mountain View. The topic – “Healthcare Reimagined” – provided an assessment of the current healthcare landscape and challenges. It was followed by an in-depth view and vision of the future of healthcare in which healthcare consumers are afforded a truly differentiating experience highlighting predictive capabilities, personalized care navigation, A.I., care in the home and ambient listening.

The ASPIRE Program at El Camino Health invites you to join us for the “Building Structure for the Summer” virtual parent education workshop this Tuesday, July 9 from 12:00-1:00pm. This is the first workshop of a 6-part monthly series. El Camino Health delivered more than 4,800 babies in 2023 and is currently renovating and expanding the Orchard Pavilion Center for Women and Newborns on the Mountain View campus to meet a growing need in our community and create a welcoming environment that promotes healing and wellness.

Our CEO, Dan Woods, delivered remarks to attendees, and Dr. Nicole Tarui, Medical Director of our MOMS program, participated in a moderated panel at the event.
