🌟 Addressing Challenges in Online Learning 🌟 As educators, we encounter various challenges in the online classroom, and one common issue is when learners refuse to follow instructions. 🤔 Here are some strategies I've found effective: 1️⃣ Assess the situation and understand the root cause. 2️⃣ Clearly communicate expectations and consequences. 3️⃣ Offer support and assistance where needed. 4️⃣ Keep the class engaging and relevant. 5️⃣ Provide choices to empower learners. 6️⃣ Communicate privately to address concerns. 7️⃣ Collaborate with parents/guardians when appropriate. 8️⃣ Implement consequences when necessary. 9️⃣ Seek professional help if needed. 🔟 Stay positive and supportive throughout. Let's continue to adapt and innovate in the online learning environment! 💻💡 #OnlineLearning #Education #Adaptability #LinkedInLearning

It can be difficult for educators to provide the one-on-one attention some of our students may need. This is why it is important to have reliable resources for them to utilize. Often we refer them to apps or sites that provide them with questions and answers. While these may be useful to some many students do not benefit from this type of learning. Often what students need is one-on-one interaction with an actual human who can address their needs and accommodate their learning style. A tutor can make the material relevant for the student and help them understand things they are having trouble with. Personally, as a tutor, I do not just address content issues. I take it much further and address other issues that can hinder a person's ability to understand material such as study habits. If you have a student who needs tutoring I am here for them. As I am part of many virtual conversations with educators from around the world, reading through my feed and reading blog post after blog post, I am hyper aware of this global documentation of many unique “new-ways-of-learning”, remote teaching and learning environment. Remote learning relies on students to being self-directed learners. Older students are more likely to be able to engage, search for help online, find ways to “figure a task out”. The younger our learners are, the more they need to rely on parent support. For many working parents, that is not easy or just not possible. We need to start planting the seeds early for a more self-directed learning vs. showing up for class and waiting-to-see-what-a- teacher-has-planned for us today! #onlinelearning #elearningsolutions #elearning
