1) job hopping can be helpful if you’re at a crossroads, 2) you may need to invest in other certifications or training, 3) don’t apply to just anything unless you’re really willing and able to start from the ground up, 4) be humble and give yourself some grace, 4) job hopping isn’t for everyone, and 5) don’t expect instant results. Do you agree? What has helped you find your path? .... #freedomlifestylebusiness#femaleowned #lifecoaches #careerdevelopment #career #careeradvice #careercoach #jobsearchtips

Sometimes what didn’t work out for you really worked out for you. (Read that again) It's a paradox that many have faced: 👉 A missed job opportunity 👉 A project that didn't get off the ground 👉 A setback on your way to achieving a goal These might seem like failures at first… But often, these are the moments that redirect us, forcing us out of our comfort zones. When this happens you must adapt. You will find that the skills you didn’t realize had value are invaluable in other applications. It’s an opportunity to walk a new path… As the great Yogi Berra said, “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” #CareerGrowth #personaldevelopment #career

1 step forward and 2 step backward. This is how life can be for many - what are the options? Either you give up or get in! Here's the recipe that I believe is helpful: ↗️ Start reframing your adversities into opportunities ↗️ Don't have change just as a word but for real ↗️ Set goals with defined milestones and clarity ↗️ Never underestimate networking ↗️ Keep celebrating little wins ↗️ Have a mentor on board ↗️ Prioritise yourself ↗️ Know your Why ↗️ Keep learning ↗️ Be grateful Life can throw curveballs, and sometimes it feels like you're taking two steps back for every one step forward in your career. What would you like to add to this? #VivekKhandelwal #Career #Workplace #Limitations #NavigatingChallenges

Sean used to see career growth like climbing a ladder straight up, but now he compares it to a jungle gym. He says that moving sideways across different roles or areas gives you a better understanding of things. This helps you see projects and changes from different angles. Have you ever thought about career growth as a jungle gym rather than a straight ladder climb? How do you think moving sideways across different roles or areas could benefit your understanding of projects and changes? #perspective #understanding #wsssolutions

Like any good roadtrip 🚗 , your plan for career progression also needs mapping out. Even if you don’t yet know clearly what your ‘end’ destination is, a rough plan is still helpful than none. Your ‘plan’ absolutely can have one or various avenue/s of interest that you are feeling ‘pulled’ toward. Ultimately, you need a strategy. How will it help you? These points are just a few… 1. Save you time rather than feeling like you’re guessing at things. 2. Save or make you more money 💰 3. More energised during the journey to get there as you have purpose 4. Will help you identify where you can get things done yourself but also gaps that you know deep down if you had the guidance it would speed things up for you. Sooo…. Book yourself some thinking time. Grab a pen, notebook /laptop (whatever floats your boat!) and a coffee ☕️ and start planning! 1. Where do I think/I want to go? 2. How am I going to get there? If I can do it so can you 💫 #careercoaching #executivecoaching

HOW TO BE HAPPY WITH, AND IN, YOUR CAREER. If you think about those times in your life when you have been on your way to somewhere you wanted to go, whether literally or figuratively, you will have had a mental or emotional feeling of well-being and contentment - happiness if you like. Perhaps it was planning a favourite walk with a special friend, going to the theatre or a concert with your partner, perhaps a skiing holiday with your grandchildren. So how does this translate into the concept of career happiness? Start by defining where you want your career to take you - YOUR CAREER OBJECTIVE - and then start the journey. Commit to taking at least one step every day, no matter how small. For example: 1. Read your career objective. 2. Talk to your mentor or coach. 3. Start a minor update to your CV. 4. Review your list of top achievements. 5. Research a target company on LinkedIn. 6. Make contact with someone in your network. 7. Think about taking a life long learning course. 8. Define your ideal occupational brand statement. I could go on - the list is endless and the concept really is that simple: one step every day, no matter how small. #proteuscareermanagement #careerobjective #careerplanning #careeradvice #careermentoring #careercoaching
