We often hear that having a broad portfolio of generic simulation products ready to go into production is critical to meeting all kinds of system needs. For example, it is not uncommon for automakers to use hundreds of generic analog products in electric vehicles, sometimes accounting for nearly 90% of the number of ics in electronic systems. Texas Instruments' engineering teams work across more than 20 functional categories in power management, signal chain and logic products, developing analog products optimized for the right combination of cost, performance, power and precision required for customer design. Fast access to these types of chips can significantly accelerate the time-to-market of existing designs and provide greater flexibility to adapt to future development needs by expanding design options. We have sufficient supply in Ti. Can meet the needs of long-term orders, maybe you need 🤝 🤝

6 reasons why Silicon-on-Insulator technology is the workhorse of RF front end switching. 👇🏼 ⚡️ Low parasitic allows transistor stacking → voltage handling ⚡️ Low ON resistance and OFF capacitance → wide bandwidth ⚡️ Oxide layer insulating from silicon → no latch up issues ⚡️ Oxide + high resistivity silicon substrate → high linearity ⚡️ Silicon → control circuits can be implemented ⚡️ Better radiation hardness → good for space stuff Other technologies have their uses in specific applications too. But SOI switches are just awesome. The high switching frequencies and slew rates enabled in #siliconcarbide (#SiC) and #galliumnitride (#GaN) Wide Bandgap (WBG) power devices lead to unique challenges in the accurate measurement of device characteristics under application-specific conditions. #Reliability standards for these relatively new devices are still evolving. Failure mode and acceleration test condition definitions are being developed to create guidelines for #testing. In this article, we will summarize some recent developments in #WBG #power device/module characterization and reliability testing discussed at the 10th annual IEEE Workshop on Wide Bandgap Power Devices and Applications (WiPDA US) held in Dec 2023. #powerelectronics
