🔌| Making positive changes to our airfield vehicles. Two new EVs have joined our fleet of operations vehicles - with more planned - as we reduce emissions as part of our Greater Good sustainability strategy. This sustainability improvement is one of several improvements being rolled out across the airport this summer. It comes after two new electric coaches were introduced to our airfield, adding to the two brought in last year. Did they tell you the batteries are useless after 8-10 years and currently they can't be recycled? What about the Cobalt mining in Africa done by children in hazardous conditions? Do you charge the vehicles using carbon neutral electricity? Did they tell you about the reduction in operability when it gets cold (Scotland after all). Did you know the environmental impact of getting the EV to the showroom is nearly x3 of a similar petrol car equivalent (in terms of earth tonnes quarried )?
Looks great!
What vehicles have you gone for?
Looking sharp and doing your bit for the environment 👍
Wow ! I’m impressed. What a difference with the striking car wrap. Perfectly designed around the car. Looks great. I’m delighted to see this!
it will directly to operational cost of an Airport! Great.

Looking great, thanks for choosing Lexus UK to support your business. 👍🏻

1wSmart looking car, however I think these modern airside Op's vehicles should have better all round vision like the old 4x4 like the Land Rovers had. Op's drivers need as much visibility as possible with as few blind spots as possible to avoid incursions and collisions on the Manoeuvring area and especially when carrying out "Follow Me" duties. These modern vehicles all seem to have a squat shape that narrows the glass area and the heavy tint also does not help in my opinion.
