Your Charleston Battery battled for a HUGE comeback win in Indy last Saturday. While Emilio Ycaza opened the scoring first, The Battery found themselves down 2-1 early shortly thereafter. Nick "The Marksman" Markanich put one in the back of the net to even things up prior to halftime, and it was all downhill in the second half. After a brutal mistake by Indy resulted in an own goal, MD Myers put a bow on the win with a goal of his own. The effort was an excellent mark at the end of a difficult three games in 8 days, with two of those being roadies. In a situation like this leadership is everything, and Coach brought the perspective in his pre-game talk: ‘Tuesday was a game you’re probably going to remember for a long time because of the moment and being at home with the fans. This might not be a game you remember forever. But, come August, September, October when things are positioned tight, this [match] is going to be something that’s going to be integral and huge for who we are.’ Message received. And a great game played. We another road test this weekend and then the squad is home next Saturday. Creating wealth solutions for families, business owners, professional athletes & coaches using Premium Funding for Life Insurance and Private Placement Life Insurance
3.1 million average viewership for the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, representing Formula One’s largest U.S. TV audience on record. The mark eclipsed the 2.6 million for the debut version of the event in 2022, and beat last year’s adjusted mark of 2.1 million by 48%. There had been some questions about viewership going into the weekend, but not only did the Miami GP further establish itself as a fixture on the overall F1 calendar, but it also reached a whole new level of prominence. Viewership of the race peaked at 3.6 million, and the three iterations of the Miami GP to date now represent the top live U.S. audiences in F1 history. It’s also the rare, possibly first time that F1 has beaten NASCAR in ratings. The Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway was set to start at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday while the Miami GP was slated for a 4 p.m. ET start. But the AdventHealth 400 was rain-delayed for three hours. Kyle Larson ended up winning the race in the series’ closest-ever finish — a 0.001-second gap to Chris Buescher. NASCAR ended up having 2.296 million people watching via FS1, down two percent over last year, according to Sports Business Journal’s Adam Stern. #miami #F1 #McLaren #internationalwealth #breakingrecords https://lnkd.in/g736JHEA

Costing Chaos Controller 💲Guiding Manufacturers Seeking Costing & Profitability Improvements OUT of Financial Chaos to Financial Control 🏭 Inventory – Costing – Financial Analysis – Forecasting – Budgeting 📈
There are so many great athletic competitions going on today, it’s so fun to watch. As someone who enjoys watching sports, I’ve got my eye on the NCAA Wrestling Championships, the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships, the Minnesota Timberwolves, NASCAR, F1 and Indy racing, just to name my highlights. But the one thing I didn’t have on my radar: the 2024 Barkley’s Ultramarthon race, and Jasmin Paris (#smalleuropeanwoman). My feeds were dominated this morning with news that Jasmin had just started the 5th loop of the race, which consists of 5 20-mile loops that have more than 54,000 feet of ascent and a 60-hour time limit, set in the hills of Tennessee. There have only been 17 runners that have ever finished the races in its 37 years, and none of them have been a woman. Jasmin was the first woman to finish the “fun run” portion of the race, which is the first 3 loops completed within 40 hours, in 2022. What an accomplishment! Watching all of these athletes at the top of their game are so inspiring. They have all put in the blood, sweat and tears into accomplishing that which only a select few can do. Much like a business owner – putting your head down, pushing through the daily grind, doing what you have to do to make your business a success. And just like these athletes, they don’t do it on their own, they all have support staff and teams around them to help them achieve their goals. Who’s part of your support that you wouldn’t be able to do what you do without them? Good luck to all the athletes – we’ll be rooting for you all to achieve your dreams! #supportteam #manufacturing #sports #businessgrowth

Too often golfers pick aggressive targets and make a scared swing in hopes of pulling it off. Tiger was asked years ago about how aggressive he played. His response surprised a lot of people. He said “I play aggressively to my spots. Wherever I choose my spot to be, it may be a little more on the conservative side; but I am playing aggressively to that spot. The best player who ever played doesn’t fire at flags, so that means you shouldn’t either. Tigers strategy and discipline never gets enough credit. Despite being the best, he knew his limitations and played accordingly. To help yourself, don’t think if a target being a spit but an area. With the playoffs coming soon, picture a goalpost over the area you want your approach shot to finish. You can prepare to split the uprights if that helps your focus. But at the end of the day, it counts as 3 points as long as it goes between the uprights. It doesn’t have to be perfect, and neither do your approach shots.

Reducing Concussions in Athletes through Innovative Training | Physiotherapist, PhD | Chief Technology Officer
Here is a great article that has largely gone unnoticed in the #NCAA Division I #volleyball world. Currently, there are three programs that remain undefeated this season. Two of them are obvious, Wisconsin and Nebraska are revered titans, with illustrious histories of domination and record-breaking performances. But then there's The Citadel, a dark horse with an astounding 18-0 record. The Bulldogs' journey is not just a tale of numbers and skill but of resilience, commitment, and transformation from their 20-year history of being the worst team in the Southern Conference with an average record of 1-17 from 1998-2018. Diving deeper into The Citadel's incredible turnaround story, 2018 emerges as a defining year. The Bulldogs were again the worst team in the SoCon. But the bigger issue for head coach Dave Zelenock wasn't just the losses but the staggering number of concussions the team faced. With 8 concussions on a team of 13 players, there were instances when fielding a complete team became an uphill task. This alarming rate of injuries forced Coach Zelenock to acknowledge the paramount importance of injury prevention. After doing his research, Zelenock discovered TopSpin360. Feeling desperate, he took a chance on a funny-looking helmet that claimed to train the neck to stabilize the head in space, and by extension, mitigate the risk of concussion. The result? An incredible three consecutive concussion-free seasons that culminated in winning the SoCon championship in 2021. Their commitment to player safety, combined with an undying spirit, has now led them to an impressive 18-0 record this season. They lead the NCAA with the most wins, showcasing the potent blend of skill and safety. While star players like Ali Ruffin, Belle Hogan, and Maddy Cardenas continue to dazzle on the court, The Citadel's holistic approach prioritizing player well-being remains the true game-changer. As the Bulldogs prepare to face Furman tonight, it's clear that they're backed not just by talent but a commitment to ensuring every player remains in peak physical condition. Best ability = availability. #NCAAVolleyball #TheCitadel #PlayerSafety #TopSpin360 #InjuryPrevention #concussionmitigation 🏐🔥🛡️

The Vegas Grand Prix is mid After an extensive transformation to turn the streets of Sin City into a Formula One circuit, this weekend’s Vegas Grand Prix has not attracted the brouhaha that its owners had in mind. Facing lackluster ticket sales, waning hotel room rates, and an unhappy Dutch driver, race and F1 owner Liberty Media lowered profit expectations for the event, which some had thought could be a bigger deal than the Super Bowl. After an opening ceremony that featured John Legend, fireworks, and elevated stages that made the drivers look like members of One Direction, Red Bull driver and world champion Max Verstappen called the race “99% show, 1% sporting event.” Is this a sign the F1 bubble is about to burst? For a sport that rose to prominence in the US faster than you can say “vroom,” it’s certainly experiencing a dip. F1’s TV audience is down 8% from last year, according to ESPN, and streaming viewership is down 7% for Formula 1: Drive to Survive, the Netflix series that catapulted the sport (and Charles Leclerc <3) into our hearts. But… dwindling interest in the much-hyped race could be due to the uninteresting track or the lack of competition. Verstappen already clinched the championship title last month no matter what happens in Vegas. Vegas is still becoming a major sports capital. Yesterday, MLB gave the green light for the Oakland A’s to move to Vegas, where the team would join the WNBA champions Aces and NHL champions Golden Knights. As for Vegas hotels, they’ll be filled up soon—the city will host the finals of the NBA’s mid-season tournament in December and the Super Bowl in February. And next year, a UFC fight is scheduled to take place inside the Sphere.
