What is a good example of #collaborativespirit? The #energy team from Omniseal Solutions recently put together an #API6D, Annex M, working group to draft new specifications for #hydrogen pipeline valves. Held for two days at their Kontich, Belgium site (known for large diameter #polymer and metal seals), the meeting included not only in-person participants but also dozens of online participants from Europe and North America. Many were end users and #valve and seal manufacturers. The goal was to share experience and expertise in order to write this new #international standard for valve equipment in hydrogen service. This event is just one of Omniseal Solutions' initiatives to provide sealing and material support to address the growing needs of the carbon-free industry. The 45-month meeting of the EU #H2020 DECADEproject focused on the TRL5 prototype designed and built by Hysytech, newly delivered, as well as on material upscaling (cathodic, anodic, electrolyte and PV module). The aim of this #research is to implement a new photo-electrocatalytic (PEC) approach to convert #sunlight #CO2 and #bioethanol into ethyl acetate and ethyl formate, to be used as drop-in #green solvent or as octane booster fuel component.
