We use environmentally friendly dyes and can dye the items in a range of RAL and/or Pantone colors. Loss of Gloss problem in clear coats and couple of thoughts from CHEMCO lab. As time passes, the gloss of a clear coat naturally diminishes. Factors like erosion, degradation, abrasion, and scratching contribute to a gradual decline in gloss over time. The primary objective when a producer formulates a clear coat is to slow down this process to maintain the pristine appearance of a new car for as long as possible. The ability to retain gloss varies depending on the coating technology chosen in a particular formula. Presently, acrylic-melamine coatings appear to be the most effective due to their combination of - scratch resistance, - UV transparency, and - overall durability. However, attempts to enhance gloss and gloss retention by increasing melamine levels or crosslink density have often resulted in unintended consequences such as -> chipping, cracking, or even etching. Furthermore, while UV absorbers can reduce the photodegradation of any coating, their effectiveness in protecting the surface of a film is significantly lower compared to lower parts of a car. This is because there's minimal UVA exposure at the surface, leading to little to no absorption by the additive. Consequently, more UV radiation is left to be absorbed by the polymer, potentially accelerating degradation.
