Happy to share my latest article on match-fixing in individual sports, with a focus on badminton and tennis (although similar principles apply universally) published in the San Diego International Law Journal. The article takes a basic law and economics approach in order to show at what global rank athletes in these two sports break even in terms of cost and earnings. It goes on to show the increased risk of match-fixing for those athletes whose costs are higher than their earnings, particularly where their games are bettable.
