CEOs need to be good at understanding people, sales & the product— AND PODCASTING 😱 Now some of you will say ‘X company reached Y valuation and was never on social media.’ Well they didn’t start their business in 2023/24 where AI has commoditized technology & distribution ( along with some degree of specialization) is increasingly becoming one of the only moats in the early days. Founder/ceo-led personal brand or podcast as a core long-term customer funnel is an unparalleled high leverage sales opportunity. The CEO of LinkedIn definitely doesn’t need to sit down with anyone— could technically delegate this job but he’s doing it— why do you think you’re better? Again, some may say— it’s a waste of this person’s time but you’re wrong — because if you’re the CEO interviewing, you can bring on higher leverage guests, get to know the people behind the business & really understand a customer’s pain points with your own ears. Especially if you’re in the B2B SaaS world where the closer you are to your customer the better the product you can build for them. Having a podcast is going to become like having a blog. Don’t do it for the views, do it to make friends in industry :)
