Tired of your photographs looking brighter or darker on your monitor after having spent all night capturing your crash scene? When producing nighttime photographs or videos, we are always asked, how can we be sure that it is a fair and accurate representation of the lighting at the scene. We always say you need a reference, like our contrast gradient board. First step is always recording how the contrast gradient board appeared at your scene. Then we use our notes from the scene to calibrate your final photographs irrespective of the display method (monitors, prints, projectors). The series of Landtolt “C’s” displayed in varying contrasts help create a scale to calibrate our cameras to our vision. Then we can use the same methodology to calibrate our videos and photographs that were captured at the scene.
