🧠 Is Meta one step closer to reading people's minds? Meta unveils a groundbreaking leap in brain-computer interface (BCI) research. Using cutting-edge MEG tech, Meta's experts crafted an AI system for real-time image perception decoding from brain activity. This tech requires personal data training and a (big) MEG device, so reading people's minds is not for tomorrow. But it is a step closer. What do you think? Exciting or frightening? For my part, I believe the mind is already mostly readable through our behaviors on social networks, given the abuses we're already familiar with. Thoughts are the last bastion to protect. Do we really want to delve further and directly expose them to third-party companies and individuals with unknown intentions? If and when we will decide to use this technology on a large scale, stringent protection measures will be essential. But can we truly guarantee them? #Meta #BCI #Innovation #TechNews

It will help to collect more real-time data which are out of our device. It will impact the way data is collected and analysed. Also it will be a challenge to the market for an action camera as it will be more user friendly. However, it will create issues called privacy breaches as a small flaw in a system and it will record everything. A technology will indeed change the way we look at the world, however, it will also impact the way we think. The kind of personal data it will collect can be used to generate a narrative by organisations to control the way we think. A responsible use of it will be a challenge for a society which is already driven through many narratives not positively impactful to the life of mass. It will be interesting to see how it addresses issues where a tech is driven by the responsibilities to make our society better rather than worst.
