One of the tools that has kept me going, with my head straight up; working towards achieving my vision and goal is focus. It's been a sustaining factor on my journey to success; bearing in mind that I have a life to build and people to serve with standard offers and ideas. I've learned the ropes of being consistently focused and avoiding unnecessary distractions. These distractions may come as something interesting or nice, trying to woo me off the path to achieving my goals. And being focused has helped me to be: 📍More clear about my goals. 📍Increased my productivity while I concentrated on necessary tasks. 📍Plan and maximize my time efficiently. 📍Develop my skills professionally and in crafting content. 📍Pushed me over hurdles, with determination and faith Instilled discipline and enhanced my decision-making. 📍Brought quite a lot of satisfaction to my soul, with remarkable improvement and little wins I've made so far. Focus has built me, shaped me, made me more intentional, and shifted my perception from being just a goal-setter to a goal-getter. Advancing towards your goal either personal or corporate requires a distinctive focus, different from what you've always inputted on your previous pursuit in life. It involves facing the wall while there are countless distractions, Although there will be interesting or exciting distractions relating to what you are working on, you'll need to learn how to remain focused without completely diverting from your goal. Focus helps you scale through the unavoidable hurdles that your journey entails or consists of. Choose a particular goal or one thing you would like to work on for the next few months; focus all your attention and resources on it and you will end up getting tremendous results. I was working and living in ignorance... Yes, I was doing that for a while till I came across a transformative and liberating knowledge... Here is how I did... When I started out practicing as a novice veterinarian, seeking opportunities to apply what I had learned, I had no prior knowledge of branding, client acquisition, and sustenance. I was completely focused on making earnings but without any strategy or structure in place. Don't blame me, who doesn't like income in the first place? I was providing solutions to my clients' animal health challenges and letting them go once I was done with them unless they returned to me for further complaints or services. My ignorance robbed me of some opportunities, especially referrals and networking at some point in time. I decided to check for courses online and read more about personal branding, but I still didn't understand it vividly. Guess what!! Joining LinkedIn was a blessing to me, because I discovered a wealth of knowledge. I gained practical insights and knowledge of personal branding and how to implement it in my practices and personal development. Almost everyone advocates for it on LinkedIn, so why wouldn't I strive to understand it better? The knowledge I gained here has made me: - Position myself better for visibility - Build strong relationships with my clients to sustain our connection and generate more referrals - Learn to connect with colleagues in the profession - Understand the power and efficacy of collaboration - Connect with other professionals in different fields to gain more knowledge and exposure Thanks to Chiamaka Joyce Nzeako, Jemima Eric, and Mama Yetunde Oyeleye for giving me practical tips on how to brand better and effectively.
