The movement of the Russian PVO closer to the front lines can indicate the establishment of a more offensive Air Defense Zone and a more active and aggressive Russian AADP. The Russian army cannot advance without the active support of the Russian VVS, but only if Ukraine has the air superiority and the capacity to suppress the Russian VVS and the defensive zone created by the Russian PVO components.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Tuesday the supply of 40 SCALP EG long-range air-launched cruise missiles and a substantial quantity of bombs to Ukraine. This strategic decision underscores France’s heightened commitment to supporting Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict with Russia. The SCALP EG missile system, renowned for its precision and extensive range, is poised to play a pivotal role in Ukraine’s defense strategy. Capable of striking deep into the Russian-occupied eastern regions of Ukraine, well beyond the front lines, the missiles provide Ukraine with a powerful tool to target strategic locations held by Russian forces. AS OF 02/26/2024//RELTO/PUBLIC: In the coming weeks, I expect the number of attacks against Ukrainian Air Defense Positions to increase, as the VKS Components need to establish air superiority before the Russians can launch any armored offensive. We previously discussed the possibility of a slow, layered offensive, and this is the prelude to it, especially if the Russians move their support and artillery closer to the front lines. Ukraine should expect another extensive campaign of drones and missiles soon, as Russia is gradually preparing for the offensive. The rationale behind the Russian saturation attacks is straightforward: to degrade Ukrainian Air Defense capabilities while assessing their strength, composition, and depth. Ukrainian AADP needs reinforcement. I may sound like a broken record, but the VVS should not achieve any form of air superiority. Although the number of missions sanctioned by the Russian VKS has decreased due to recent losses, they will aim to eliminate Ukrainian SHORAD positions to facilitate their maneuvering along offensive routes. It's important to note that identifying and eliminating Ukrainian HIMAD positions remains a key Russian objective, and they will likely conduct their sorties in the special bomber-escort configurations. Ukraine needs to enhance and adjust its AADP and prepare for the imminent saturation attack. Support for Ukraine is vital to prevent the Russian VVS from gaining any momentum. The VVS should not be allowed to operate with impunity. Furthermore, the presence of North Korean ballistic missiles (with no confirmed use of Iranian-made missiles yet) on the battlefield poses a threat to Ukrainian AMD components. Russia will need to conduct D.E.A.D and S.E.A.D operations before making any advances. This slow and layered approach could give Russia the advantage of controlling the offensive's momentum. Failure to give Ukraine the aid and the offensive capabilities that it needs to maintain an active and effective ADZs will only result in Russia's success to establish air superiority to move further in Ukrainian territories. Take note that it is not about the loss of any city or village in ruins, it is about the fortifications that will follow, and each point taken by the Russian army is only used to either mount heavy defenses or to support further offensive in the Ukrainian territories. Russia should be stopped where it stands. Lastly, the movement of the Russian PVO closer to the front lines can indicate the establishment of a more offensive Air Defense Zone and a more active and aggressive Russian AADP. Understand that the components of the Russian army cannot advance without the active support of the Russian VVS, that is only if Ukraine has the air superiority as well as the capacity to suppress the Russian VVS and the defensive zone created by the Russian PVO components.

#Ukraine🇺🇦 Only weeks after Russia deployed one of its newest S-500 “#Prometheus” anti-ballistic missile defense systems to Crimea, Ukraine has reportedly destroyed the system using an Army Tactical Missile System (#ATACMS) ballistic missile. According to unconfirmed reports, the very rare S-500 “Prometheus” system, valued at roughly $600 million USD, was obliterated by a cluster ATACMS missile. If true, this incident would be another example of supposedly “cutting edge” Russian military hardware failing to perform as advertised, even against the older Western munitions supplied to Ukraine. This particular S-500 was one of only four batteries that Western intelligence services believe are in the Russian inventory. Ukraine continues to dismantle Russia’s military, which, prior to the Kremlin’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, was regarded as the second-best in the world. However, due to the sacrifices, skill, and daring of Ukraine’s defenders, the Russian military has now been shown to be far from the second-best military force operating in Ukraine.
