Thank you Josh Brumm for having us. “Beyond Emissions ” is more like a commitment, a life-long journey toward a greener world. Pytes is here with other lithium ion battery or solar players to accelerate the the adoption of clean energy by making batteries easier to use, more affordable and more durable. Here I want to share some information audience might or might not know: 1) lithium ion batteries make more economic sense in many scenarios than Lead acid batteries even in terms of upfront cost --Not just total cost. This is very exciting. Lead acid batteries are too dumb, dirty to produce, short in cycle life, poor C rate, Shallow DoD, at least 2 times bigger and heavier and poor high temperature performance -- lithium ion batteries are still in baby phase though -- so much potential to performance better in every sense 2) There is huge over-demand in China now-- very serious one. So you will see lots of battery brands rushing into US market this and next year, cheaper, looks nice and similar, 8000cycles, very attractive specs and even UL-listed ...Pls be very cautious on those --- Trust your own research but not that much-- online info can be very deceptive and you could tell a battery quality only after several years use. There are thousand of factories who make similar-looking ESS batteries in China and many of them use shitty cells/BMS or can't survive for another 3 years let alone 10 years, so really be careful -- choose a company which could last 10 years and is partnered with good distributors like Soligent. 3)To go Beyond Emissions, responsible battery players look at lithium ion battery at its full life cycle -from lithium mining, extracting lithium, to produce, charging and discharging and recycling... There are still quite a lot dirty processes going on -- I would say : Step by step greener. 💪
