Get to know Offen Petroleum! Offen has a long history of providing fuel into the right tank, at the right time, every time. Offen Petroleum began its story as Reedy Coal and Fuel Company in the late 1930’s. In 1967, Jim and Ester Offen purchased the company and changed the name to Offen Petroleum, which it still is today. Since then, the company has grown to be one of the largest fuel distributors in the country and has expanded its offerings to now include propane, lubricants, DEF, and fuel-handling needs. “By 2026, global refinery capacity will be 4 million b/d higher on a net basis compared to 2019. Until this new capacity starts up, margins will have to be high enough to incentivise high crude runs across the world. Let’s face it, both gasoline and diesel markets are extremely tight and may be so for a while” S&P Global Commodity Insights’ Hédi G. , Head of Europe, Fuels & Refining, sheds light on what lies beyond the platinum age of refining at #epca57 today. #crudeoil #refining #chemicals #petrochemicals #diesel #gasoline #vienna #europe

Catalytic reforming is a process used in the petroleum refining industry to convert low-octane naphthas into high-octane gasoline blending components. It involves subjecting the naphtha to high temperatures in the presence of a catalyst, typically a platinum or platinum-rhenium catalyst, to rearrange the hydrocarbon molecules into branched structures, which improves the octane rating of the gasoline. This process is crucial for producing gasoline with the desired performance characteristics, especially in the context of modern automotive engines. #TWOTW #23rd #petroleum_Engineering #Drilling #Production #Refining

With today's workload, TIME is the most valuable asset we have. For those working in the petroleum industry, the ability to handle fuel in a safe and reliable way is nice. Having an array of portable and stationary options to accomplish it is even better. But being able to do all of this as quickly and efficiently as possible, thereby saving time AND resources? That's Semler. #fuel #Semler #petroleumindustry

Our Contribution for the May 2024 Issue of IACPE Magazin is a Article Versing on the maximization of Light Olefins (Mainly Ethylene and Propylene) as strategy to improve refining margins and reduce the exposure to the “red ocean” of transportation fuels. The article presents a deep analysis of how the synergy between FCC and naphtha steam cracking units can help the refiners to maximize the added value to the processed crude… #refining #downstreamoilandgas #petrochemicals #strategicplanning The Issues of IACPE Magazine Can be Find at the Following Link: https://lnkd.in/dM44aJGm

Witnessed loading of petcoke to supra max MT Spar Mira at our export terminal. Petroleum coke is a carbonaceous product obtained in the oil refining process. It is abbreviated as Coke or Petcoke, and is a carbon-rich solid material derived from final cracking process — a thermo-based chemical engineering process that splits long chain hydrocarbons of petroleum into shorter chains— that takes place in coker units. There are two distinctive grades of Petroleum Coke viz. Calcinable or Green Petcoke and Fuel Grade Petcoke.. The majority of the global petcoke supply is used for fuel. It is typically low-grade, containing high levels of heavy metals and sulfur. High-grade petcoke — which is low in heavy metals and sulfur — can be used to make electrodes for the aluminum and steel industry #OQ8 #petcoke #Ottco
