I’m always impressed by the innovation I see in our operations sites. The teams I meet live our leadership principle of “Invent and Simplify.” They are regularly evaluating their processes, coming up with improvement ideas, testing them on the floor, and broadly deploying the ones that work. And I love hearing about their successes. I saw a great example of this on a recent trip to PAE2, in Arlington, Washington. The General Manager, Bruno Arnal, shared the details of PAE2’s Continuous Improvement program, which aims to teach and encourage the process of Continuous Improvement at their site. I had the honor of joining a certificate presentation to recognize the work of two team members, Garrett Barnett and Tara Lynn Culver, for their improvement ideas. Tara saw an opportunity to improve the sorting process by adding larger chutes for larger items closer to her workstation, which reduced walking time for her and her colleagues. She worked with her manager Garrett to implement the larger chutes — and so far, the feedback and results have been great. A seemingly small change like this can have a big impact on employee safety, and it helps our teams reduce costs and improve speed. Kudos to Tara and Garrett on this great idea, and thank you to Bruno and the rest of the PAE2 team for a fantastic visit.
It's a great feeling to hear of a simple change can help to make things easier and safer for all.
Congrats for the team! We are always open for innovation as well!
Nice job Bruno Arnal! Love to see it.
Keep carrying the torch Bruno Arnal
Wow, what an inspiring story! It's fantastic to see the leadership principle of "Invent and Simplify" in action. The Continuous Improvement program at PAE2 is a great example of empowering teams to drive innovation and efficiency. Tara's idea of adding larger chutes to reduce walking time and improve the sorting process is a brilliant example of how small changes can add up to make a big difference. Kudos to Tara and Garrett for their innovative thinking and collaboration! It's also wonderful to see the recognition and celebration of their success. Bruno Arnal and the entire PAE2 team are doing an amazing job of fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This story showcases the power of employee-driven innovation and the impact it can have on safety, cost reduction, and speed. It's a great reminder that everyone has the potential to make a positive impact, and with the right support and encouragement, amazing things can happen!
