CEO Worldwide Amazon Stores

If you’re an Amazon customer, it’s likely that you are experiencing firsthand some of the ways that Amazon is focused on making our operations more sustainable. You may be seeing your deliveries arriving in curbside recyclable packaging and with paper filler instead of plastic air pillows. Or you may have been recently delighted by fast delivery (from an electric Rivian) — we’ve “regionalized” our operations network, to get products closer to customers and deliver to them faster. This has also helped us avoid over 16 million miles of travel, reducing our vehicle emissions. And that’s just scratching the surface — I’m constantly impressed to see the work across so many of our teams working towards making our global operations even more sustainable. Our newly released 2023 Sustainability Report shares more on these efforts. In addition, we’ve made two big announcements today: We’ve achieved our goal of matching 100% of the electricity our operations consume with renewable energy – seven years early! And we’ve launched the Amazon Sustainability Exchange – a new, free resource offering guidelines, playbooks, and science models that Amazon has used throughout our own sustainability journey, to help other companies make meaningful progress toward net zero. Kudos to all the teams for this great progress. Check out some of the takeaways from our new 2023 Sustainability Report: https://lnkd.in/g5q2g4Wj

I was wrongfully terminated! Your outsourced (India because of names on email communications?) deactivation team handling emails has been unprofessional and does not give me a valid reason I got deactivated! Not even a benefit of the doubt or another chance. I get ignored and ghosted—just stop replying to my inquiries. I did not do anything to violate my independent contractor agreement—nothing ever stolen or damaged! All that I can think that might have happened was using 2 emails for honest use: 1 DSP email and 1 for Flex under same SSN and name; it’s not a crime to work 1099 and w2. I get treated like trash by those behind the computer screen because it’s easy to treat a human poorly when they don’t hold accountability and no one is overseeing their Business to partner interactions. I’ve been treated as if I did something horrible when it was only using two emails and I most likely was flagged. So is that how people should be treated!? Is that in the Flex team training guidelines—to treat flex 1099 workers like disposable people?

I really doubt the average Amazon customer cares about these efforts.

I would like to highlight the need for reducing the number of boxes used in shipments. It is challenging for users to manage the excess paper and plastic waste, and it contributes to non-sustainable practices. Reducing packaging would not only simplify the process for users but also benefit the environment significantly. Amazon has been doing a good job with some of their no-box shipments recently, but much more needs to be done.

Doug, How do I schedule an appointment with your main office to voice concerns about Amazon Lockers and 24hr delay on packages across the USA. I had an Amazon employee for the locker team refuse to escalate an ongoing issue when an Amazon manager attempted to reschedule my package to be delivered to my home. The location they are attempting to deliver to is always having issues and they stated there is no way to change the delivery of the package to another locker. I have had ongoing issues with Delivery for the last 2 years. A Director over your fraud teams left Amazon was supposed to escalate my issues and he identified problems with my account. I have had packages stolen by the warehouse and a host of other issues and I am seeking to resolve this issue without having to physically go to your main offices and reach out to HR or whoever is going to take my issue. At this point I am willing to camp out there if I have to.
