As we gear up for the July 4th holiday, we asked a few of our ambassadors who were recently in Washington to describe America in a few words. Take a listen.

We cannot lose our way .... it is costly for us and the rest of the world ... the current polarization is only making things worse ...

"The masterful experiment of mankind." Love this one and I suppose we are still in the experimental phase!

Dear U.S. Department of State: I was a 2012 Fulbright Fellow to the The University of Alabama in Huntsville. To my limited understanding, the USA beyond its territorial limits signifying a country and great democracy, is a brilliant testimony to the ideas of dignity of labour, supremacy of human faith to achieve the most impossible task and resonating with the positive vibes that working together we are creating a more just and humane world. My best wishes to all citizens in the United States of America for the annual celebrations of Nationhood.

ooo fun game. did anyone say corrupt, violent, manipulative, fraudulent, or criminally negligent yet? or are they just lying out their teeth to protect and serve themselves and their associates working in or adjacent to government still?

I thought the same thing about this land ,it's an investment into the future of mankind, like a baby it's still growing so we always have a sitter in the right seat, there's nothing we can't achieve as long as we work together as not only as friends but coworkers and bosses alike, there's nothing we can't achieve in this world without God,and God is surely playing a role for us to be the leaders we are truly meant to be

America is the people NOT the government that is for sure. If we relied on the government and not each other we would be doomed.

Would the State Department be interested in seeing the principle of Tolerance as the nation's ultimate virtue? Will it recommend and support adding just TWO WORDS to the National Monument on Governors Island in New York Harbor thus helping the composition of the National Heritage Triangle of America's primary values: Tolerance, Liberty, and Welcome as unique island symbols?
