Our Vice President of Platform Innovation Jason Truesdell shares his thoughts on the funeral profession, how to build dynamic teams, and why Tribute Technology is the place to be! **Q: What is your role at Tribute, and what do you find most enjoyable about it?** A: I oversee our recently established Platform Innovation team, which encompasses both Product and Engineering efforts for our family-focused products, eCommerce fulfillment, and media partner publishing. What I like the most is the dynamic nature of the job – no two days are the same, presenting new challenges regularly. I rely on my experience to assist my team in problem-solving, but equally important, they teach me something new every day. What is also special about my role is developing products that have a direct impact on grieving families. By their nature, Funeral Professionals are such caring people, and it inspires me to create tools that help them serve families. **Q: What is your favorite perk about working at Tribute?** A: My favorite perk is the hybrid/virtual work environment. I appreciate the flexibility it offers, but more importantly, it enables us to attract talent globally. I value working with a diverse staff that brings different experiences to the table. **Q: Share what you love most about your team.** A: Whenever I build teams, I always look for people who genuinely seem to care. I see passion in his eyes as he speaks and I am so encouraged by how he is bringing the industry, professional association and charity all together to make impactful campaigns on #patienteducation. "You cannot think of what you don't know" he said. In order to equip people with tools and solution for healthcare, you need to expose them to the education and ideas. 👩🏫 Had a 2 hour conversation with a COO of a biotech company, discussed about market landscape and opportunities. Brainstormed their hiring strategy as they set their foot print into Asia. What's more exciting (if you are as geek as me), the cutting edge technology on #preventionhealth is mind-blowing, and truly ground breaking. *will share more in due time!* 🤝 Caught up with a placed candidate and hear how the opportunity had led her to where she wants to be now. It's not all roses, but she thinks it's providing her the growth she needed and is so very appreciative of that.
