🔙 #ThrowbackThursday to the good ol' days! 👥 Remembering our time at the Annual Hinman Dental Conference in 2011 brings back a flood of memories. Setting up our booth alongside my good friend Jamey was always a highlight. Those were the days filled with laughter, camaraderie, and endless possibilities. Fast forward to today, and our journey has been nothing short of remarkable. As the owner of an IT Services company catering to small businesses in Jacksonville, Orlando, and Columbia SC, reflecting on our humble beginnings is both nostalgic and empowering. Back then, we were just a few passionate individuals with a vision. Now, we're a dedicated team serving owners, presidents, and CEOs of small businesses with 25 to 100 employees. Our mission? To provide top-notch managed services that empower businesses to thrive in the digital age. But let's be honest, the road hasn't always been smooth. One recurring challenge? Convincing clients of the importance of our services, especially when cost comes into play. It's a familiar struggle for many in the IT industry. Yet, we persist because we know the value we bring far outweighs the investment. Every obstacle we've faced, every triumph we've celebrated, has shaped us into the company we are today. On Juneteenth, we commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans throughout the United States. We also acknowledge that progress has not yet yielded parity Health care equity remains an issue across America due to many factors. Race is one of them. About 3.3 million more Black Americans would be alive if there was parity in life expectancy. How long would it take for Black Americans across the nation to achieve racial parity with their White neighbors across in terms of overall quality of life ? Based on the rate of change between 2012 and 2021 it could take more than three centuries. Find out more about this research from The McKinsey Institute for Black Economic Mobility. Here are 3 of my favourite questions that I used at a recent conference that generated over $76,000 for my business. Firstly, asking “what do you do?” when you’re attending an event is a question people dread answering the most. How do you sum up all that you are, in a one or two word response? Here’s 3 questions that led to extremely rewarding contracts for my business at the last event I attended: 1) What are you hoping to get from this event? Like really hoping to get? 2) What have you learned about yourself this year? 3) If we met a year from today, and we’re celebrating your best year ever, what are we celebrating? — That’s it. Three ‘different’ questions that lead to engaging, deep, conversations. All questions will create know, like and trust among those you interact with. ❤️ Ps.
