Safety Quote: 📢 The weakest link of a team is the person who is willing to take shortcuts.” This is really a derivative of the old saying, "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link". It's simple at it's core. If you have a chain that has 10 links, even with 9 extremely strong links, if you have 1 weak link ... that chain will break. In part 2, we talk more about how this applies to Safety. ⛓

At Hasen, safety is not just a requirement, it's our culture.
Safety Week 2024. This year’s theme is “Value Every Voice,” a sentiment that HASEN takes seriously year round. As a team, it is important that we encourage, listen, and empower every team member when it comes to safety.

"Safety is a continuing journey, not a final destination.” This is 100% true. You are never all the way ‘there’ on safety. It is a continuing journey. There are always new team members, new technologies, new risks, and on and on and on. You have to continually evolve and need to establish a culture of safety. Do you agree? #safety #safetyprofessionals #safetymanagement

It has been a crazy rollercaoster over the past year+ as we are building out both our Investment Company (&Capital Inc.) and our first Portfolio group of companies, with SafetyCo Partners. A few thoughts to share... 1. ReInvention is Not easy but it is Rewarding - leaving advertising the comfort of what I have known for 20 yrs was not easy, and at times it was the hardest and most punishing transition I have made in my career. With that, the ability to do what I loved with building culture and solving problems with creativity, and at the same time feel like I had a beginners mindset everyday learning was like a tsunami of GROWTH. 2. Work with People who are SMARTER than you, and have different SuperPowers - this is easy to say but hard to do at times. Find people who truly are better than you, at the things you have to admit you are weak or not as focussed on. I have been fortunate enough to be able to surround myself with a team at &Capital Inc. who are stronger than I am at all thing in our Capital Allocation and Financial Management. At the same time we have been able to partner with incredible Founders in the Safety Services Space, and their teams, who have taught us the industry and made us fall in love with the Purpose of "creating safer spaces for people to thrive". 3. Believe in Yourself - this is not simple and at times many of us have imposter syndrome with this. However, if you are a leader, and you have the drive combined with the right vision and values, you can achieve greatness in many different chapters in your life (maybe something I have learned from Tony Chapman) Thank you to everyone who believed an Advertising Guy could pivot while using Creativity and Culture as a SuperPower. We are truly just getting started.....

A great audit conducted with Anisha (not pictured) and then an opportunity to witness and assess the processes and competency if the technical team conducting servicing and calibration of measurement and instrumentation vital to help end users detect air borne hazards. #safetyequipment #MRO #compliance #checkselectprotect
Had the pleasure of welcoming Roy Wilders to our HQ, to conduct our British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) registered safety supplier audit. Observing our in-house Service and calibration team, along with our Hires department.
