#NationalSkilledNursingCareWeek was an important time for us to recognize and thank the incredible team at all of our centers. This week we celebrated the dedicated team members who come to work each day focused on providing the highest level of skilled care and improving the quality of life for our patients and residents. Diversicare CEO, Steve Nee, had the privilege of joining Diversicare of Oak Ridge as they wrapped up their week of events! The group showed their team pride, enjoyed great food, and event got a shot at dunking Administrator, Mark Tuggle! We created many new memories and look forward to facilitating many more meaningful interactions in our centers!

People living in Willenhall in #Coventry are working alongside Grapevine #CommunityOrganisers and building their collective power as they campaign for improved park and play facilities in their neighbourhood. Through a series of community focus groups at the tail end of 2023, the ‘Willenhall Coalition’ identified which community priority it needed to tackle first. Members decided that by focusing on a community park or play area they could help people improve their physical and mental health, create a space for social interaction, build a greater sense of community and support local children and their families. How does a #CommunityOrganising approach help ordinary people take action and make change? 📣 So far our community organisers Edwin and Gemma have helped the Willenhall Coalition research other Coventry parks, draw up a 'most wanted' play equipment list, speak to around 200 residents, collect nearly 70 local surveys and initiate meetings with council services. The group hopes that focusing on improving Brookstray Park will help: 🌳 People improve their physical and mental health 🌳 Create a space for social interaction 🌳 Build a greater sense of community 🌳 Support local children and their families. Addressing some of the contributing factors to Willenhall’s historical population #HealthInequalities. Moving the community a step closer to becoming healthier, happier and more connected. Winning some or all of the changes they want will make tackling future community priorities in #Willenhall possible. Read more about this #ShiftingPower work in our latest blog. Link in the comments 🔗 Grapevine is working in Willenhall alongside local people, the voluntary and community sector, the NHS and Coventry City Council to improve local health and wellbeing under the #HealthyCommunitiesTogether programme.

Hello everyone! Mark Maxfield here, CEO of The Cottages Assisted Living & Memory Care. Last week it was National Assisted Living Week. The theme was seasons of reflection. Isn’t that nice to reflect on the various seasons of assisted living. So, as I take a moment to reflect on the things that I am grateful for in Assisted Living I want to take a moment to brag about my staff. Here is a little thing that showed up stuffed under my office door, and it’s in honor of national assisted living week. It says, “We honor you. Thank you for using your energy at The Cottages.” This is something that went out to all our team members. To be frank I don’t know who did this, (since making this video I found out that it was Lisa Spjute), all I know is as a leader I’ve empowered my team to do what they need to do. They have their own budgets, and they know what they need to do, and they put together a few things to help one another recharge. In this package there is a little charging cord for their phone and a treat. As a leader in senior housing, assisted living, or whatever industry you’re in, hopefully you’ve empowered your people and they feel the spirit and energy of whatever project you’re working on so they can do neat things like this and make you look good. I have leaders who work for me, and it was an awesome week to reflect on this. Empower your people, get out of their way, and let them do what they’re good at, because they’re likely better at it than you are anyway. So, see you next time! #cottagespride #leadership #wetreatpeoplerigt #recognizeyourteam #leaders #empoweryourteam #teamrecognition #assistedliving #memorycare #longtermcare #seniorliving #seniorcare #seniors #healthcare #improvelives #deliverqualitycare

I am joined by Toni Musto, Brightview's Regional Director of Operations. We discuss how Brightview is vastly different from any Senior Living options on the market. They are a Community, not a Facility. The whole ethos of the company is to give you not only a place to call home, but a place where you can lay roots and build a life for yourself in your later years. Brightview also offers a true Independent Living option for residents. In the residential side of the Community, you are free to live how you want, come and go as you please, cook for yourself in the full kitchen found in each unit, as well as go to work and live your life as you would have outside of the campus. Even in the Assisted Living portion of the Community, your independence is placed at the forefront of Brightview's services. If you cannot go as you please do to physical limitations, there are ample staff and communal trips for you to still be a participant in the outside world. The Dementia Care portion of the Community also provides as much independence as the patient can handle, yet still maintains the high level of care and attention needed for those suffering from Dementia. 👋 Meet J.J.! 💼 Position: Vice President ☑️ Started at MaxCare: 2017 🎀 Fun Fact: Being a dad of three daughters is a crash course in empathy, patience, and Salon Sundays. But the most important lesson I've learned is how to be a strong, supportive male role model, teaching them to walk beside me. I want them to know they can achieve anything their heart desires, and that I will always be their biggest cheerleader. Here's to raising kind, courageous, and awesome women! 💙 Favorite part about working at MaxCare: I like working at MaxCare because of our mission to provide better pharmacy benefits to local self-insured employers by doing it the right way. This means full transparency of data and practices and passing through fair reimbursement from the employer to the pharmacy in order to empower patients to live better healthier lives. Some say it takes a village ... at MaxCare it really does take the entire team. Each MaxCare team member contributes a unique and valuable skill set. We could not serve the community without this team.
